In 12 Rivers you don't rule a kingdom or conquer territories: you lead a tribe that explores the twelve enchanted rivers in search of magical pearls of changing colors . From benevolent fairies, loyal alpacas, and villages that thrive thanks to your choices, each game becomes a journey between strategy and poetry .
Turn after turn, carefully place your markers along the waterways: higher up to conquer the pearls first, or further downstream to exploit the flows and surprise your opponents. Your field cards will give you extra resources and powers, while fairy encounters and alpaca goals will add unexpected twists and turns in your journey.

🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. Plan your shipments
Each round, you play field cards to place your three tribe tokens along the twelve rivers. The higher up you are, the faster you'll collect pearls; but even downstream, with the right cunning, you can reap great rewards.
2. Let the magic pearls flow
Once everyone has placed their tokens, the colored pearls flow down the rivers . Each time they encounter one of your tokens, you collect one and temporarily store it on your Alpaca.
3. Block, divert and take advantage of the flow
The pearls you don't catch continue their journey downstream, allowing others (or you again) to collect them later. Positioning management is the key to beating the competition.
4. Get the help of the fairies and follow your Alpacas
During the adventure you can earn fairy tokens with useful effects and chase your Alpaca's goals , which reward you for collecting the right color combinations.
5. Bring prosperity to the village
Transfer pearls to villages and their inhabitants , completing bonus objectives to earn extra points. After five rounds, whoever has brought the most prosperity with their pearls is declared the winner.

An enchanted lake rises from the sacred mountains, and from it flow the 12 rivers that nourish the valley . The streams carry more than just water: they carry colorful pearls, gifts from the spirits, capable of ensuring prosperity for the village. In 12 Rivers, you are the leader of a tribe and will lead your people along these magical waterways to collect the pearls before they fall into the hands of rivals.
Each turn is a balancing act: spending resources to gain a higher position, taking risks downstream to earn more, or harnessing the magic of the fairies who watch over the rivers. The challenge isn't just collecting: it's knowing when and how to deliver pearls to the villages to turn them into points, alliances, and glory.

12 Rivers is a thematic, strategic board game for 2–4 players , published by Good Games Publishing.
Each game lasts about 45–75 minutes and requires you to place your tribe members along rivers , block currents, and collect pearls before anyone else. With pearls, you can please the villagers and earn points, but along the way, you'll also encounter fairies and alpaca objectives that open up new scoring strategies.
