The FroGames Card
One in three crimes is signed by Kingpin. The streets of New York are burning. Daredevil clenches his fists, Echo observes and memorizes every move. The deck is ready, senses sharp. Someone won't sleep tonight.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT
The Defenders take to the streets against Kingpin's criminal empire
Fear No Evil is the ninth campaign expansion for Marvel Champions: The Card Game, designed by Frank Brooks, Tony Fanchi, and Aaron Haltom for Fantasy Flight Games. It brings the street-level Marvel universe to the table with the Defenders: Daredevil (finally, after years of waiting) and Echo, both with pre-built Justice and Protection decks ready to play.
Six scenarios instead of the classic five. Kingpin orchestrates a crime wave through five deadly lieutenants: Bullseye, Electro, Hammerhead, Purple Man, and Typhoid Mary. The novelty: five scenarios are not tied to a specific villain, so you can mix and match them, create different campaigns each time until the final confrontation with Wilson Fisk. Each scenario works on its own or in a variable sequence.

— Fantasy Flight Games
Fear No Evil is set to release in July 2026. The information on this card is based on official previews and publisher materials. We will update it with impressions from the table as soon as we have played the first games.

Marvel Champions LCG - Fear No Evil (Marvel Champions: The Card Game – Fear No Evil Expansion)
Marvel Champions has always supported solo play (1-4 players). You control one or more heroes against cooperative scenarios. The experience is complete even in solo, but you lose the Defenders team synergies and the combos between Echo (who copies other players' events) and other players.
The roster
Who's in the game
Daredevil (Justice)
The Sense deck: five side-deck cards you play as if they were in hand, no usage limit per round. Boost with Sense upgrades and scale thwart/attack. Matt Murdock, lawyer by day, vigilante by night.
Echo (Protection)
Photographic reflexes: copies events played by anyone at the table, tucks them under her identity card, and replays them at a discount. Maya Lopez absorbs others' moves and repeats them with lethal precision.
Kingpin and five lieutenants
Wilson Fisk orchestrates everything. Bullseye boosts every boost icon, Electro accumulates boost cards, Purple Man manipulates, Typhoid Mary has a split personality, Hammerhead hits hard. Five villains, six scenarios, match-ups of your choice.
Modular New York Scenarios
High-speed chases, escapes from the Raft (with enemies from past campaigns), street crises. Each scenario connects with different villains: change the villain, change the game. A system never before seen in the game.

🎲How to PlayThe rules in four steps▼
How to Play
The flow of each round
Marvel Champions follows a consolidated cooperative structure: player phase, villain phase, threat management, and damage.
Each hero plays cards from hand, paying resource costs. Daredevil uses Superhuman Senses to play the top card of the Sense deck as if it were in hand, without limit. Echo copies events with Photographic Reflexes. Attacks, thwarts, defenses, upgrades.
The villain activates: scheme or attack, draws encounter cards, boost icons increase effects. Bullseye adds boost to each card, Electro accumulates power-ups. Manage threats on schemes, defend damage with allies or Protection cards.
If a scheme reaches its threat threshold, it advances or you lose. Daredevil in Justice clears schemes by scaling with Sense upgrades, Echo recycles other players' Thwart events. Balancing personal defense and collective thwart is the cooperative key.
Draw up to hand size, resolve persistent effects. Modular scenario: some rounds trigger specific events of the chosen scenario (chase, evasion). Campaign log: record wins, losses, move to the next scenario with another villain.

A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Modular Setup
Choose one of Kingpin's five lieutenants, draw the scenario you prefer, shuffle. Daredevil randomizes the Sense deck, Echo prepares the area to copy events. Each villain-scenario combination changes the game. You decide the campaign order.
First Cooperative Turns
Daredevil plays Sense cards from the top of the deck without having them in hand, Echo observes everyone's events and tucks them under her identity. Supervillains slap boost icons, accumulate threats. The city burns, you react.
Organized Crime Escalation
Bullseye deals damage with every activation, Electro powers up, Purple Man manipulates you. The scenario advances: car chase, escape from the Raft, whatever you've chosen. Threats on schemes, damage on heroes. You have to decide what to defend.
Defenders Combo
Echo replays the key event you saw three turns ago at a discount. Daredevil stacks three Sense upgrades, scales thwart immensely, clears schemes. Protection-Justice synergies, Defenders team-up. The table turns, Kingpin loses pieces.
Final Showdown or Defeat
Kingpin enters the scene or you win against a lieutenant, you record the result on the campaign sheet, move to the next scenario with another villain. Or: accumulated threats, completed schemes, heroes down. The city falls. Reset and try again with another combination.

Three things to know
Core set needed
It's not standalone. You must own Marvel Champions: The Card Game base game to play. Fear No Evil adds heroes, villains, scenarios, but not core rules or fundamental components (threat trackers, status tokens, etc.).
Modularity = learning curve
Six scenarios, five interchangeable villains: maximum freedom, but it can be disorienting for those coming from classic linear campaigns (X-Men, Sinister Motives). You must choose the order, combinations, and difficulty. Great for LCG veterans, challenging for absolute beginners.
Fixed pre-built decks
Daredevil and Echo come with ready-made decks (Justice and Protection), but if you want to customize them, you need other Marvel Champions expansions with aspect cards. Daredevil's Sense deck is unique and unmodifiable: either you love it or it's not your hero.
🏆Victory and defeatWhat the ending rewards▼
How it ends
How to win and how to lose
Each scenario has specific win/loss conditions. In campaign mode, you record results and proceed.
Victory
- Defeat the scenario villain (reduce HP to zero or complete scenario objective)
- Record the victory on the campaign sheet and move to the next scenario with another lieutenant
- Complete all scenarios and defeat Kingpin in the final confrontation: campaign won
Defeat
- A main scheme of the villain completes all threat stages: the city falls, you lose
- All heroes at the table are defeated (HP at zero and cannot be recovered): game over
- In campaign mode: record the defeat, retry the scenario or change villain-scenario combination
Fear No Evil promises unprecedented replayability for Marvel Champions. Six scenarios, five villains, dozens of combinations. If you love the LCG system and the Defenders, this is the box you've been waiting for. If you're new to the game, start with the core set.

Frequently asked questions
FAQ about Marvel Champions LCG - Fear No Evil (Marvel Champions: The Card Game – Fear No Evil Expansion)
Do I need the Marvel Champions core set to play?
Yes, it's mandatory. Fear No Evil is a campaign expansion, not a standalone game. You must own Marvel Champions: The Card Game base game (the one with Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Black Panther, She-Hulk) to have rules, tokens, threat trackers, and fundamental mechanics.
Can I play the scenarios in any order?
Yes, that's the main novelty. Five scenarios are modular and work with any of the five lieutenants (Bullseye, Electro, Hammerhead, Purple Man, Typhoid Mary). Only the final scenario with Kingpin is fixed. You choose the order and villain-scenario combinations for each campaign.
What mechanics does Marvel Champions LCG - Fear No Evil use?
Cooperative hand management, deck-building (LCG), resource management, modular scenario-villain system (an absolute novelty for the game). Daredevil adds a unique Sense side-deck, Echo uses copy-events with Photographic Reflexes. Base: thwart vs. threats, attack vs. villain, defense vs. damage.
Does it work well solo or does it require multiplayer?
It works great solo (you control one or more heroes). Marvel Champions is designed as cooperative 1-4. However, Echo loses some of her potential: her Watch and Learn ability copies events played by ANYONE at the table, so with more players you have more variety of events to recycle.
Is it available in English?
Yes, the English edition is published by Fantasy Flight Games under the title Marvel Champions LCG - Fear No Evil. Cards, rulebook, and materials fully in English. Expected release July 2026 (same period as the international version).
