In Rock Hard – 1977 you are not a simple player, but a emerging musician in the midst of the rock explosion . Between garage rehearsals, sweaty concerts and endless nights writing lyrics, Your band dreams of becoming the next big music icon. But only those who know how to best manage fame, talent and fortune will conquer the scene.
The game takes place from April to December, in nine rounds that represent the race towards success. Every choice counts: write songs, get record deals, organize tours and don't forget to promote your name in the hottest venues in town. But be careful: rock is adrenaline, but also risk. Pushing yourself too far can make you shine… or burn.

🐸 HOW TO PLAY
– Objective : Each player is an emerging musician in the 70s and must lead their band to fame by accumulating the most prestige points (fame) by the end of the nine game rounds.
– Game Structure : The game covers nine rounds, each representing a day from April to December 1977. During the round, players plan activities to grow the band.
– Possible actions : You can try to improve your skills (chops), write new songs , play concerts to gain fame, promote your band to increase your reputation, or frequent the right places to get bonuses and opportunities.
– Progression and Earnings : Throughout the game you can get record deals , earn royalties , take advantage of production, performance and advertising bonuses , and grow your band's repertoire.
– End of game : After nine rounds, fame points from songs, concerts, reputation, contracts, and bonuses are calculated. The player with the most famous band becomes the best new artist of 1977. 🎸

Rock Hard – 1977 is a strategic and thematic board game for 2-5 players , set in the golden age of rock. The goal? To reach the pinnacle of fame through a mix of resource management, planning, live concerts, and music production .
Created by Jackie Fox , former bassist of the Runaways , the game offers a unique experience where the board game meets the real life experiences of 70s rock stars .
Each game is a different story filled with challenges, discs, tension, risky decisions, and strokes of luck. A perfect title for those who love music, narrative, and a retro vibe—with fluid and dynamic gameplay that immerses you until the last note.

The heart of the game is the secret programming : each turn you choose what to do (rehearse, play, write, etc.), but so do the others. So if you arrive late at the club... the stage is occupied.
