1. Experience the adventure of Bilbo and the Dwarves
Each player has a dry-erase book-board in front of them, open to the same chapter of the story. The game retraces the eight most iconic moments of The Hobbit , from the escape from the Trolls to the confrontation with Smaug.
2. Roll and choose the dice
The first player rolls all available dice, then each player in turn chooses one. Once all are taken, the next player rerolls the dice and the draft begins again.
3. Chart your path
With your chosen die, you use a dry-erase marker to draw paths and actions on your chapter: fighting goblins, solving puzzles, facing giant spiders, gathering resources, or advancing towards the Lonely Mountain.
4. Complete chapter objectives
Each section of the book has specific objectives : survive battles, collect treasures, and overcome trials. Managing your path well is the key to earning more points and advantages.
5. The best-told journey wins
After eight chapters, the results are compared: whoever has completed the most complete and profitable adventure achieves victory, becoming the true author of the legend of the Hobbit.
