The FroGames card
You have three cards in hand and you must decide now. Discard the 7 to activate the ability or keep it to win the East district? Van Helsing has just called the end of the round. Last move.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT
An asymmetric duel between the hunter and the vampire
Dracula vs Van Helsing is a competitive card game for 2 players designed by Maxime Rambourg and Théo Rivière, published in 2023 by Mandoo Games. Gothic art by Weberson Santiago. Dracula has returned to Whitby to turn its inhabitants into vampires. Van Helsing must stop him before it's too late.
Each player has an identical deck of cards numbered from 0 to 7, each with a unique ability. Each round you draw, discard to activate abilities, and place cards on a five-slot rack (one for each district of the city). At the end of the round, whoever has the highest card in each slot wins that district: Dracula turns an inhabitant, Van Helsing deals damage. A maximum of five rounds, but either player can call the end of the round early if there are at least six discarded cards.
What they say abroad
"A tense duel where every card matters and timing is everything."
A tense duel where every card matters and timing is everything.
— Meeple Mountain
Un gioco che si impara in cinque minuti ma che costringe a pensare fino all'ultima carta. Il rack condiviso è l'idea che fa la differenza: cinque duelli in parallelo, una sola mano.

Dracula vs Van Helsing
Your weapons
Eight cards, eight abilities, infinite combinations
Card 7 (Transformation)
The highest in the deck. Dracula almost always wins the district where he plays it, but activating it costs discarding it. Van Helsing uses it to deal critical damage.
Card 0 (Sacrifice)
The weakest, but the ability is devastating: draw two extra cards. Playing it at the right time turns the round around.
Intermediate cards (2-6)
Each number has a unique ability: manipulate the rack, copy discarded cards, force the opponent to reveal. The tactical heart of the game.
Call end of round
Instead of drawing, you can call the end of the round (if there are at least six discarded cards). The opponent plays one last turn, then it resolves. Who calls when matters as much as what you play.
