FroGames — Moments You'll Remember
Because adult life is better with a pet waiting for you at home.
What it's about
Your adult life, now with a pet to care for
Adulthood: Pet Projects is the shuffle-in expansion for the life-sim by Johnny O'Neal and Brotherwise Games. It shuffles directly into the base deck and changes the game without adding complex rules. Just open it, shuffle, and play.
The pack adds over 40 new cards: pets, new unlimited activation Careers, Partners, Life Events, Values, and Solo Achievements. Pets open an alternative scoring path: invest Care in your animals and they reward you with Happiness and special abilities — just like in real life.
The new unlimited activation Careers change the economy of the entire game: as long as you have Time and Energy, you can activate those cards as many times as you want. Those who love to optimize will find new angles to explore.
The pet mechanism transforms every game into a small emotional dilemma: do I dedicate Time to my career or to my cat waiting for attention?
The secret of Pet Projects in one line
Unlimited activation Careers completely rewrite the base game's strategy: you don't play the same way after trying them.
From gameplay experience
Adulthood: Pet Projects
The new Solo Achievements finally provide specific goals for solo play. Those who love to optimize their "perfect life" find a concrete challenge here.
What it adds to the game
Four new layers to your adult life
Pets
An alternative scoring path: invest Care in your pets and receive Happiness and special abilities in return. A new priority to balance each turn.
Infinite Careers
New Careers activate as many times as you want, as long as you have Time and Energy. No artificial limits — only your resource management decides how much to push.
Solo Achievements
Objectives dedicated to the solo mode. Finally, solo play has specific goals to pursue, not just the highest possible score.
Partners, Events & Values
New Partners, Life Events, and Values that shuffle into the base deck. Each game becomes unpredictable in different ways compared to the base game alone.
There's always room for a pet in a life well played. Pet Projects proves it with every game.

A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Shuffle, set up, and start
New cards shuffle into the deck. The market is set up. Someone immediately spots a pet in their draft — a dog, a cat, something to care for. They're already wondering if it's worth investing in or if it's a distraction.
The first difficult choice
An infinite Career appears in the market. Someone immediately takes it — they can activate it as many times as they want. The others realize the game's economy has changed. The silent competition for the best resources begins.
The pet demands attention
Those with a pet face the classic dilemma: dedicate Time to a career that brings Money, or invest Care in the pet that accumulates Happiness? The others watch them sigh. They understand. It's exactly like real life.
A Life Event changes everything
One of the new event cards appears from the deck. No one had accounted for it. Some gain, others lose a turn of Care and their pet goes without attention. They laugh, they complain, they move on.
Tracks converge, victory is near
Happiness and Impact tracks draw closer. Those who focused on pets accumulated points steadily without peaks; those who pushed infinite Careers made a final sprint. The game ends. Points are counted, and they immediately wonder which cards to change next round.
How to play
The flow of each turn with Pet Projects
Same pace as the base game, new decisions to make each turn.
Distribute your Time tokens to the activities on your board: Career, Experiences, Wellness — and now also your Pets, if you have one.
Resolve each action by paying its costs. The new unlimited activation Careers can be used multiple times in the same turn, as long as you have Time and Energy to spend.
If you've invested Care in your pet, you receive Happiness and activate its special abilities. Pets aren't "used" just once — they grow with you game after game.
Choose a card from the common market. With Pet Projects, you'll find new Partners, Life Events, and Values in the deck: each draw can change the direction of your strategy.
Why it's worth adding
Six reasons to put Adulthood back on the table
Alternative pet path
Pets introduce a completely new scoring strategy: constant, cumulative, based on Care. Those who previously ignored that track now have to reconsider it.
Infinite activation Careers
The new Careers have no activation limit. The economy of the entire game changes: those who grab those cards first gain a compound advantage that others must counter.
Immediate shuffle-in
No additional rules, no complicated setup. Just shuffle the deck and play. Anyone familiar with the base game is ready to go without rereading a manual.
Dedicated Solo Achievements
Solo play finally gains specific objectives. No longer just "maximize your score" — now there are concrete milestones that change how the solo game is approached.
Market variability
New Partners, Life Events, and Values shuffled into the deck make every game unpredictable in ways the base game alone can't guarantee after many sessions.
The emotional pet dilemma
Dedicate Time to career or to your pet? This choice creates an authentic tension that makes you laugh and reflect at the same time. It's the heart of the expansion.
How it ends
Winning in Adulthood with pets
Pet Projects doesn't change the final goal — but it adds a new path to get there.
Victory condition
- Your character's Happiness and Impact tracks meet
- Pets contribute Happiness constantly with each turn of Care
- Those who manage both paths well — career and pets — have a compound advantage
Requires base game
- Pet Projects is an expansion: a copy of Adulthood is required to play
- Compatible with all editions of the base game
- Can be used with other future Adulthood expansions
Pet Projects is the ideal expansion for those who have already worn out the base game and want to find new reasons to return to the table — especially solo.
Frequently asked questions
FAQ about Adulthood: Pet Projects
What does it really add compared to the base game?
Three concrete things: an alternative scoring path based on pets, new unlimited activation Careers that change the game's economy, and new Solo Achievements that finally give specific objectives for solo play. It's not just "more cards" — it's a change in perspective on how the game is played.
Do I need to buy anything else to use it?
Yes, a copy of the Adulthood base game is required. The expansion shuffles directly into the base deck — it doesn't add extra physical components like separate boards or tokens.
Is it worth it for those who mostly play solo?
Yes, it's probably the audience that benefits the most. The new Solo Achievements transform solo play from a generic optimization session into a game with clear objectives and specific challenges. Those who play solo often will find a concrete reason here to put the game back on the table.
Can it be used without knowing all the base cards?
Yes. The new cards are shuffle-in: they mix into the existing deck and appear in the normal market flow. There's no need to separate or manage them specially. Anyone familiar with the base rules is ready.
How much does it change the game duration?
Minimally. The cards integrate into the existing flow without adding extra phases or rounds. The duration remains around 45 minutes. Infinite Careers might slightly slow down the turns of those who want to optimize a lot, but nothing significant.
Is it available in Italian?
This is the English edition. The text on the cards is in English, but the language level is simple and accessible. Those who play the base game in English will have no difficulty adding this expansion.
