In the standard edition, ships and containers are plastic. In the Deluxe, they are metal: weight, finish, and table presence are on another level. Factories, warehouses, and trucks remain screen-printed wood in both.
"More Containers" expansion included
The Deluxe already contains the complete expansion, normally sold separately. Four modules that add player loans, golden luxury containers, and new variants. More details below, in the content section.

Container is one of the most respected economic games of all time. Originally designed by Franz-Benno Delonge and Thomas Ewert, it returns in the Allplay edition with illustrations by Adam Allsuch Boardman. This is the Deluxe version: metal components and expansion already included.
In Container, you build factories, produce goods, store them in warehouses, and decide at what price to sell them. Then you load your containers onto ships and sail to the island, where they go up for auction. The principle is simple to say and extremely difficult to do: buy low, sell high.
The real challenge of Container isn't the rules — they can be explained in twenty minutes — but the market. Money never comes from the bank: it only circulates between players. Every dollar you earn has been taken from an opponent. And the secret value cards mean no one really knows how much others' containers are worth.
