Il gioco usa closed drafting (scegli e passa), tile placement con layering (sovrapponi carte parzialmente), network building (costruisci percorsi chiusi), e push your luck (rischi loop lunghi per punteggi alti). Il tutto è simultaneo: nessuno aspetta il turno degli altri.

Quanto dura una partita vera?

30 minuti netti, indipendentemente dal numero di giocatori. Il draft simultaneo elimina il downtime: tutti pescano, scelgono e piazzano insieme. Con 8 giocatori ci metti 5 minuti in più solo per la spiegazione , ma la partita resta intorno alla mezz'ora.

Le espansioni sono obbligatorie?

No, ma sono già incluse nella scatola base . Animals aggiunge creature che danno bonus/malus se incluse nei loop. Adventurers introduce personaggi con abilità asimmetriche. Puoi giocare senza, ma dopo 4-5 partite la varietà aumenta tantissimo aggiungendole. Non devi comprare nulla: è già tutto dentro.

Funziona davvero da uno a otto?

Sì. Il cuore del gioco è il puzzle spaziale personale : costruisci loop nel tuo spazio. A otto giocatori l'interazione per gli obiettivi First To aumenta, ma il gameplay resta identico. Solo serve un tavolo grande. La modalità solo usa tre varianti ufficiali (obiettivi, Animals, Adventurers) e funziona bene.

Draft, build routes and challenge each other to complete the most adventure rings.

1) Object of the game: create complete loops connected to your base camp

Every player must developcomplete routesof three types:trekking, cycling and kayaking.

To score points, it's not enough to build a long path:must form a closed ringwhich starts and arrives at abase campof the same type.

2) The heart of the turn is the card draft

At the start of each round you receiveeight trail cards.

This sequence repeats until the round ends: planning and intuiting others' intentions becomes essential.

3) Cards are placed adjacent or overlapping to create expandable paths

When you play a card you canto stand alongside herto others already present orpartially overlap it, modifying or optimizing the tracks.

This allows forrepair errors,cut curves,correct directionsorforce closureseven at the last second.

4) Points only from closed loops and objective cards

At the end of the game you get points from:

How to Play

The Flow of Each Round

Four identical rounds. Each round: eight simultaneous drafts, then move to the next.

Draw and Draft

Each player draws eight trail cards from the communal deck. They choose two cards (face down), then pass their hand to the neighbor. Repeat: choose two, pass. Eight cards become six, then four, then two. After the fourth draft, everyone has chosen eight cards in total for the round.

Simultaneous Placement

After each draft, everyone reveals and places the two chosen cards. You can place them next to existing cards or partially overlap them (half a card on top, half below). Trails must connect: you cannot break a path. Each placement is final.

Close Loops and Objectives

A loop is closed when a trail starts from a base camp and returns to the same camp, of the same type (bike, hike, or kayak). Mark the loop with a token and score points (variable based on length). If you complete a First To objective, you claim it immediately (only the first player).

End of Round and Reset

After eight drafts, the round ends. All used cards are shuffled, a new deck is formed, and you start again. After the fourth round, points are counted: closed loops + First To objectives + End Game objectives. Open loops = zero points. The player with the most points wins.

Eight cards in hand. You choose two, face down. Everyone reveals simultaneously and places. No one waits: those who have already decided arrange their cards, those who hesitate concentrate. The table moves at different speeds but with no downtime. Some place cards side-by-side, some immediately overlap to optimize space.

Third draft of the first round. You have a loop almost closed: you're missing a card with a certain type of curve. You draw it. Someone Claims the First Objective

A player closes a 6-card loop and grabs the corresponding First To card. Others look up: it's feasible for them too, but now it's worth less. The race shifts to the remaining objectives. Those who were building a mega-loop start closing short trails again to regain sure points.

Fourth round, last draft. Hands are shorter (you've already taken many cards in previous rounds). Someone has run out of space on the table and must close. Punishing Push Your Luck

Every card you place without closing a loop occupies space forever. You cannot remove it, you cannot move it. If you reach the last round with three open loops and no useful card in the draft, those loops are worth zero. The game rewards those who close often, not those who build unfinished masterpieces.

Minimal Interaction

Everyone builds their own puzzle. Interaction is only indirect: you compete for First To objectives (whoever gets there first wins) and observe other tables to understand who is aiming for what. You cannot sabotage, you cannot alter others' paths. If you're looking for direct conflict, this is not the game.

Table Space

With 6-8 players, each player has their own personal card space. The table gets crowded. You need a large surface (or play on the floor, like at scout gatherings). The box includes two complete decks to support eight players, but the total footprint is significant.
