HOW TO PLAY RESAFA

Trade, water management and construction in the heart of the 3rd century AD desert

1) You only choose 3 actions per round… and every choice really matters.

The game is toughsix rounds, and in each one you only havethree actionsavailable via your action cards.

This makes every decision tense: do you move caravans? Do you build? Do you invest in water? Each move determines the effectiveness of all subsequent ones.

2) Travel between cities to buy and sell goods

As a merchant along the caravan routes, you move between cities tobuy goods where they cost littleAndresell them where they are worth more.

Managing camels, distances, and route timing is essential to growing your profits and staying ahead of the richest markets.

3) Build cisterns and canals to make the desert fertile

Resafa survives only thanks to water systems: you can buildlarge cisterns, expandchannelsand direct water to the areas that need it most.

Water activates and enhances buildings, allows for new expansion, and becomes an indirect source of victory points and resources.

4) Build shops and gardens to create an economic engine

Resafa is a strategic board game for experts (1–4 players), created by Vladimír Suchý and set in the Middle East of the 3rd century AD Each player plays a merchant who travels between dusty cities, buying and selling goods, and builds vital infrastructure for survival: cisterns, canals, workshops and gardens .

Water is the resource that decides everything. Without a well-designed network, growth is impossible: canals irrigate gardens , The tanks feed the factories , and the entire economic engine lives only if your network doesn't break.
