HOW TO PLAY OPERATION DRAGOON: 1944 ⚔️🇫🇷🇺🇸

A fast-paced and tense solo operation on the liberation of the South of France.

1) Prepare the map, the German front and your allied forces

The game covers the entire campaign fromAugust 15-29, 1944.

Place the US VI Corps, the French II Corps, and the 1st Airborne Task Force in the landing areas.

The solitaire system manages the movements of the German army, in particular the11th Panzer Divisionwho tries to escape by going up the Rhone Valley.

2) Each turn represents an operational day of the campaign

Each turn, perform the sequence:

–Allied movement, trying to push quickly inland

–combat actionsagainst German units

–control of key citiesand progress along the road axes

Meanwhile, automatic events are moving German forces northward, creating continued pressure.

3) Use air support and French resistance to block the German retreat

The Allies have two crucial advantages:

–air support, which enhances the offensive and slows down the enemy's escape

– the groups of theFFI, who sabotage German lines and create ambushes

Managing these assets is essential to preventing a mass exodus of the Nineteenth Army.

4) Eliminate retreating divisions and capture Marseilles and Toulon
