In Imperium Classics, you'll guide eight historical civilizations —from the Romans to the Greeks, from the Persians to the Vikings—toward expansion and legend. It's a strategic deck-building board game by Nigel Buckle and Dávid Turczi , where every card weighs like a political choice or a civil war.
Imperium Classics is a civilization and deck-building game for 1–4 players, where each card tells the story of your people's growth and the cost of progress. Start as a tribe and build your cultural, military, and scientific ascent .
But every expansion brings instability: manage your power, or chaos will bring your empire toppled.
Each turn is a balance between ambition and survival. Accumulate prestige and territory , but control the Unrest cards, which represent internal unrest. Too much growth breeds rebellion. Too much caution leads to oblivion.
Each faction is completely asymmetrical : the Romans seek order and discipline, the Greeks enlighten the world with knowledge, the Persians dominate with economics, the Vikings with conquest. No path is right, only the one that survives.
Dávid Turczi 's solitaire mode turns every game into a duel of the mind, with automated opponents simulating every civilization. Imperium Classics is also compatible with Imperium: Legends , expanding the system to 16 unique races and countless combinations.
