Here you are not the hero. Here you are the Firefly family . In House of 1000 Corpses: A Game of Horror you move through a house that changes face with every room: corridors that seem innocuous, corners that smell of a trap, and that silence that lets you know someone is about to scream .
The goal is simple to say and brutal to achieve: track down the victims hiding in the house and deliver them to Dr. Satan before time closes in on you. It's a cooperative horror board game where rhythm is the key: move, search, capture... and when necessary, do what you need to.
In this house you don't win by running away.
Win by becoming the most efficient monster.
The genius lies in the actions: the cards allow you to Move , Search , Kill , or Capture , but if you repeat the same choice too often, the game punishes you. In other words, you can't go on autopilot. You have to vary, coordinate, and change plans on the fly. It's a thematic board game that can also be strategic when the pressure is on.
Three different modes change the flavor of the game, and if you like, you can also play it as a solo board game . In 30–60 minutes, it's a carousel ride in the dark: short, intense, and with that dangerous urge to say, "OK... another one."
