A reserve of wondrous creatures that you build card by card
Wondrous Creatures is a worker placement game with a hex puzzle designed by Yeom.C.W and illustrated by Sophia Kang, published by Bad Comet in 2024. You are a keeper who creates the most harmonious creature reserve in the world, collecting creature cards and eggs, completing objectives before your opponents.
The twist is in the hex grid: every worker you place interacts with the surrounding hexagons, activating resources, cards, and special effects. Your workers have unique abilities that you unlock during the game, making them stronger. The map evolves: new effects appear as the game progresses, and you have to position yourself to trigger increasingly powerful combos. Over 100 different creatures, each with its own ability: build a tableau that works in synergy and complete the Objectives faster than the others.

What you build and how you use it
Creature Cards
Over 100 different creatures, each with a unique ability. Some give you extra resources, others buff placements, others still trigger chain effects. Build a tableau that works in synergy.
Eggs
Collect eggs to unlock new creatures or complete set collections. Some cards only score points if you have enough eggs of a certain type: plan what to keep and what to discard.
Hex grid
Every placement interacts with the surrounding hexagons. A worker can activate three different icons simultaneously, triggering combos. The grid evolves: new effects appear during the game.
Upgradable Workers
Your workers start basic, but unlock unique abilities as the game progresses. One gives you extra movement, another doubles resources. Choose when to upgrade them and when to place them.
