HOW TO PLAY BLOC BY BLOC: UPRISING ✊🔥
Urban insurrection, tense cooperation and secret sabotage.
1) Choose your faction and its revolution goals
Each player represents a group of insurgents:Workers, Students, Neighbors or Prisoners.
In pure co-op mode, everyone must complete the objectives of theCondition Cardto free the city together.
In semi-coop mode, however, they can enter the gameSecret agendas: some collaborative, others completely individualistic.
2) The city changes shape every game
The board is modular: the districts are arranged differently with each setup.
You will then have to adapt movement, barricades, occupations and clashes to the layout of the city in that game.
3) Every night you fight, you move and you build the revolt
The game is marked by10 nights.
On every night shift:
– The Police Ops Deck moves and deploys law enforcement
– roll your action dice
– spend those dice forto barricade, occupy districts, clash with the police, loot shopping centers, expand the mutual aid network, ormove your blocks(groups of 5–15 people)
The night is the operational heart of the revolt.
4) At dawn the system reacts: attacks, repressions, advances
In the Sunrise phase, the city responds:
– a Reaction Card orders law enforcement toattack, move vans, increase pressure
– if you have enough blocks in a district, you canfree himand get a Liberation Card
– at some times there is a collective assembly to fish out new conditions
Then time passes: the night marker advances at the speed determined by thePolice Morale.
5) Whoever frees the city wins... but not always all together
If you play cooperatively, you must liberate the indicated districts and build the required occupationsbefore time runs out or a faction is wiped out.
In semi-coop, however, a player with an individualistic Secret Agenda canbetraythe others and win only, sabotaging from within.
By the end of the night, either the city is free, or you all lose—including the insurgents.
