FroGames — Moments You'll Remember
Someone yells 'that one!', someone grabs it first, someone protests it doesn't count. And in the end, no one remembers who won, but everyone wants to play again.
WHAT IT IS
A prehistoric game passed down from generation to generation
NasconDino is a family game designed by Federico Dumas and illustrated by Guido Favaro, published by Red Glove in 2014. The theme is simple and immediate: colorful dinosaurs that hide and reappear in a prehistoric world where memory (or reflexes) make all the difference.
At the table, you can play in two different modes: classic Memory, where you flip tiles and look for matching pairs, or Speed, where dice decide which colors to look for and everyone rushes to find the right dinosaurs. Two dice, 36 tiles, rules explained in a minute. Perfect for children aged 4 and up, but also for families who want a quick and fun game.

What's in the box
Essential components for two ways to play
36 dinosaur tiles
Each dinosaur has two different colors. The tiles are sturdy and designed to withstand little hands (and shouts).
2 colored dice
Each die shows a different color on each face. In Speed mode, the dice decide which dinosaurs to look for: a random combination that changes each turn.
Illustrated rulebook
Two modes explained in a few lines: classic Memory to train memory, Speed to unleash chaos. Clear even for younger children.
Vibrant illustrations
Guido Favaro has drawn colorful and friendly dinosaurs, recognizable at a glance. Perfect for capturing children's attention and making the game immediate.
In a few minutes, someone will have grabbed the wrong tile, someone will have won by a whisker, and everyone will want to play again immediately.
A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Choosing the rules
Someone suggests Memory, someone else wants Speed. The decision is based on age or mood. The tiles are shuffled and placed on the table, face down or face up depending on the mode. Everyone is ready.
The first turn erupts
If you play Memory, someone flips two tiles and hopes to remember. If you play Speed, the dice roll and everyone rushes to the right tile. Someone grabs first, someone protests, someone laughs.
Tension rises
In Memory, children begin to remember where the dinosaurs are. In Speed, reflexes become sharper, and hands fly to the tiles. Someone makes a mistake in color, someone else gets the perfect match.
The decisive moment
Only a few tiles (or a few dinosaurs) remain. The one in the lead tries to consolidate, the one behind dives headfirst. A lucky roll of the dice or a precise memory can turn everything around.
End of the game
Someone has collected enough dinosaurs to win. The tiles are counted, the winner is announced. But the real question is: shall we play again immediately?
How to play
The flow of each turn
Two different modes, two different flows. Choose the one you prefer.
On your turn, flip two face-down dinosaur tiles. If they have the same colors, you keep them and play again. Otherwise, you flip them back and your turn ends.
One player rolls the two colored dice. Everyone looks at the colors rolled and searches for the dinosaur that has exactly that combination.
The first one to grab the correct tile claims it. If you make a mistake, you lose a tile you've already claimed (if you have any). Then the dice are re-rolled.
In Memory, the player with the most pairs wins. In Speed, the player who first collects a predetermined number of dinosaurs (decided at the start) wins.
Why it works
Six elements that make a difference
Two modes in one box
Not all children love Memory. Not everyone wants speed. NasconDino lets you choose: calm or chaotic mode, depending on the mood or age of the players. Two different games with the same components.
Double-colored dinosaurs
Each tile has two colors, not one. This makes the game more interesting: in Speed mode, you have to find the exact combination, not just a generic color. A detail that increases the challenge without complicating the rules.
Flash games
15-20 minutes maximum. Long enough to engage even the youngest children, short enough to replay immediately if someone loses and wants a rematch. Zero downtime, zero waiting.
Accessible from 4 years old
The rules are immediate, the components are clear, the illustrations are recognizable. Even the youngest children understand what to do in a few seconds. Perfect for families with mixed ages or for birthday parties.
Vibrant illustrations
Guido Favaro has drawn colorful and friendly dinosaurs, not realistic ones. This makes the game immediate and welcoming even for those who don't like 'real' dinosaurs. The colors are clear and distinguishable, even for the youngest.
Scales up to 6 players
It works well with 2, but it gets more fun with 4-6. In Speed mode, more players mean more chaos: hands flying, shouts, laughter. In Memory, more opponents make it harder to remember everything.
How it ends
How to win
Two modes, two different victory conditions.
Victory
- Memory: collect more dinosaur pairs than the other players
- Speed: be the first to reach the predetermined number of tiles (decided at the start)
- In both: the player with the sharpest memory or fastest reflexes wins
Elimination or errors
- Memory: if you don't remember the positions, you lose your turn and others collect pairs
- Speed: if you grab the wrong tile, you must return a tile you've already claimed
- In both: those who fall behind must hope for others' mistakes
NasconDino doesn't revolutionize anything, but it does exactly what it promises: immediate fun for children and families. Two modes, zero complications.
Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ about NasconDino
Which mode is better for young children?
It depends on the child. Memory is calmer and trains memory, but requires concentration. Speed is more chaotic and fun, but can frustrate those with slow reflexes. Try both and see which one they prefer. Generally, from 4-5 years old, both work.
Can it be played with 2 players?
Yes, Memory works very well with 2 players (it's a classic head-to-head). Speed mode with 2 players is less chaotic but still fun. The game is best with 3 or more players, when the table gets lively.
Can young children follow the rules?
Yes. The rules are immediate: in Memory you flip two tiles, in Speed you grab the right dinosaur. Even 4-year-olds understand in a few seconds. The problem isn't the rules, but reflexes (in Speed) or patience (in Memory).
How long does a game last?
15-20 minutes maximum, often less. Memory can last a bit longer if players are slow, Speed is very quick. Perfect for filling an afternoon with multiple consecutive games.
Is it available in Italian?
Yes, this is the Italian edition from Red Glove. The rulebook is in Italian, and the rules are clearly explained. There are no texts on the tiles, only colorful dinosaurs, so language does not affect the gameplay.
