The FroGames Card
You're building your chip set when your sister sacrifices a pigeon. A lunar eclipse begins. Everyone draws two cards. The table curses. She smiles.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT
Scavenger animal cults at war for sacred food
Trash Cult is a 2024 card game published by FoxHen Creatives after a Kickstarter campaign. Raccoons, rats, pigeons, skunks, and squirrels have founded cults devoted to junk food: each animal worships its sacred food (chips, donuts, hot dogs) and must collect complete sets before others. The theme is deliberately ridiculous, the tone irreverent.
At the table, you collect food cards, cult members, and hostages stolen from opponents. When you need a specific card or want to ruin others' plans, you can perform a snackrifice: sacrifice a card (member, hostage, or food) to draw, steal, or sabotage. But every snackrifice triggers a chaotic global event that affects everyone: lunar eclipses, hungry bears, animal control. The game is a fast race with explosions of unpredictable chaos.
What they say abroad
"Trash Cult is a 2-4 player game in which you're competing to become the best cult of trash animals by racing to collect the junk food your cult worships."
— FoxHen Creatives
This is our first read. We will update the card as soon as we have seen the game on the table with more plays.

Trash Cult
What's in the deck
Food cards, cult members, and sabotage
Sacred Food Cards
Chips, donuts, hot dogs, pizza: each cult worships a different food. You must collect complete sets to win. You draw them, steal them, or sacrifice them to activate effects.
Cult Members
Your faithful: raccoons, rats, pigeons, and other scavenger animals. You use them to draw more cards or as bargaining chips in sacrifices. The more you have, the more options you have.
Hostages
Members stolen from opponents. They can be sacrificed or exchanged for advantages. Stealing hostages is one of the nastiest ways to slow down someone who's winning.
Chaotic Events
Lunar eclipses, hungry bears, animal control: every snackrifice triggers a global event that affects all players. No one is safe when chaos breaks out.
🎲How to playThe rules in four steps▼
How to play
The flow of each turn
Each turn is quick: you draw, play cards, and decide whether to sacrifice something to activate an effect (and unleash chaos).
You draw from the central deck. It could be sacred food, a cult member, a stealable hostage, or an event. If you draw an event, set it aside: it will be used later.
You can play cult members in front of you (increasing your options), place sacred food in your collection area, or play action cards for immediate effects.
If you want to draw extra cards, steal hostages, or sabotage opponents, you sacrifice a card (member, hostage, or food). But each sacrifice triggers a global chaotic event that affects all players.
If you have completed the set of sacred food required by your cult, you win immediately. Otherwise, pass the turn and the chaos continues.

A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Choose your scavenger cult
Each player chooses an animal cult and the sacred food to worship. Raccoons for fries, rats for donuts, pigeons for hot dogs. Laughter starts during setup. The tone is clear: this game doesn't take itself seriously.
The race starts quietly
The first turns are calm: you draw cards, build your set of sacred food, recruit members. It seems like a simple set collection. Then someone decides to make the first snackrifice. And all hell breaks loose.
Events explode
Lunar eclipse: everyone draws two cards. Hungry bear: everyone discards a food. Animal control: you lose a member. Events change the game state every turn. No plan survives three sacrifices in a row.
Nasty stealing and sabotage
Someone steals a hostage. Someone else sacrifices a member to draw the card they need. A third sabotages an opponent's collection with a targeted event. The table screams. Alliances are born and die in one turn.
The one who withstands the chaos wins
The first to complete their set of sacred food wins. But the last round is always chaotic: last-second events, stolen cards, desperate sacrifices. When it ends, people talk about the absurd events, not who won.
🐸What to know beforehandThree honest things, from friends▼
What to know beforehand
Three things you need to know
Luck dominates
Events are random and heavily influence each game. You can be one step away from victory and lose everything because of a hungry bear. If you're looking for control or planning, this game will frustrate you. It's pure chaos, and you have to accept it.
Minimal downtime, but maximum chaos
Turns are fast, but when a global event starts, everyone has to react. The pace is frantic and unpredictable: it's not a game for those who want to think in silence. It's noise, laughter, unexpected turns.
Limited replayability due to structure
The deck is fixed, and after 4-5 games, the events become familiar. Variability comes from social dynamics at the table, not mechanical depth. It's a game that runs its course, but works great as a filler or for a light evening.
🏆Victory and defeatWhat the ending rewards▼
How it ends
How to win (and how to lose everything)
The first to complete the set of sacred food required by their cult wins. But chaos can overturn everything in the last turn.
Victory
- You complete your cult's set of sacred food (e.g., 5 fries for raccoons)
- You steal or sacrifice at the right moment to get the last card you need
- You withstand chaotic events and keep your collection intact until the end
Defeat
- Events cause you to discard sacred food just before victory
- Opponents steal your hostages or sabotage your collection at key moments
- You sacrifice at the wrong time and trigger an event that punishes you instead of helping you
Trash Cult is a short, chaotic, and ridiculous party game. It's not for those looking for strategy, but for those who want to laugh and scream for half an hour. And it works.

Trash Cult FAQ
What mechanics does Trash Cult use?
Set collection (you need to collect sacred food cards to complete your set), hand management (you manage your hand to decide what to play and what to sacrifice), take that (you steal hostages, sabotage others' collections), and variable player powers (each cult has different abilities). The global events triggered by sacrifices are the twist that makes everything chaotic.
Is it good as a gateway game for non-gamers?
Yes. The rules can be explained in 5 minutes, the theme is immediate and ridiculous, and the short duration (20-40 minutes) is not intimidating. The high luck factor levels the playing field between experienced players and newcomers. Great for introducing people who never play games.
Does it play well with two players?
It works, but it loses some of its bite. The chaos and stealing are more fun with 3-4 players, when global events affect more people and impromptu alliances explode. With two players, it's still playable, but less explosive.
How long does a game really last?
Between 20 and 40 minutes, depending on the number of players and how many snackrifices occur. If everyone sacrifices often, the events slightly slow down the pace, but it rarely goes over. It's a quick filler or a second game of the evening.
Is it available in Italian?
No, this edition is in English. The text on the cards is minimal (names of foods and animals, effects of events) and language dependency is low. With a quick translation of the event cards, it's very playable even for those who know little English.
