In Moon Colony Bloodbath, humanity has finally colonized the Moon. It seems like a step toward the stars... until everything starts to go wrong. Starvation, breakdowns, accidents, air leaks: each turn can bring progress or disaster, and your colony must hold out as long as possible while fate (and the other players) put you to the test.
It's a strategy game for 1–5 players that combines shared deckbuilding and simultaneous action selection. The shared deck is the lifeblood (and bane) of the game: you can add cards that benefit you or put everyone else at risk. Mining, farming, research, construction, and supplies will be your weapons... but every negative event will remain, ready to strike again when the deck is reshuffled.

🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. Build your lunar colony.
At first, everything seems perfect: rockets loaded with supplies, robots ready, and meticulous plans. The board takes shape with the first essential structures, and your colonists begin digging mines, growing food, and developing new technologies.
2. Fishing is always a risk.
Each turn, a card is revealed from the communal deck. It could be a job opportunity—in which case all players simultaneously choose a productive action—or it could be a "breakdown": hunger, accidents, power outages, malfunctions. In this game, what can go wrong... will go wrong.
3. Add new cards, change fate.
Players can enrich their shared deck with special cards: exclusive advantages for their colony or developments that change the conditions for everyone. Each addition changes the pace of the game and the level of tension.
4. Manage your engine breakdown.
Your colony is a fragile engine that produces resources, but every event eats away at you piece by piece. Prepare to see structures fail, robots shut down, and colonists succumb. The real challenge is not building, but surviving the inevitable losses.
5. Victory belongs to the survivors.
The game ends when a colony runs out of inhabitants or the event deck runs out. The winner is the player who, despite everything, manages to keep the most colonists alive. In Moon Colony Bloodbath , success isn't measured in grandiose buildings, but in how many people are still breathing at the end.

Going to the Moon seemed like a dream: self-sufficient colonies, perfectly programmed robots, the first step towards the stars. Then comes Moon Colony Bloodbath , and you realize that space is unforgiving. Each turn brings disastrous events —famine, disaster, accident—that transform your splendid lunar base into a desperate race for survival.
Here, the winner isn't the one with the richest colony, but the one who can keep the most people alive between blackouts and oxygen leaks. It's an engine-building process that gives you power... only to take it away a moment later.
A space board game between construction and inevitable catastrophes
Moon Colony Bloodbath is a space strategy board game published by Rio Grande Games, suitable for 1 to 5 players and with games lasting 45 to 90 minutes. Based on a shared common deck system, it alternates construction and development turns with catastrophic events that constantly threaten your colony.
Each player simultaneously chooses crucial actions: mine for money, farm for food, conduct research, or construct new buildings . But as the deck grows, the more trouble cards appear—failures, glitches, losses, and accidents that shatter your fragile equilibrium.
Victory only comes if you manage the chaos better than the others , keeping your colonists alive until the last event card. A game that mixes dark humor and strategic tension , perfect for those who love the most original imported games.

We tried Moon Colony Bloodbath with the bike helmet transformed into a “space helmet,” and we assure you it made the deaths of our colonists even more tragic. It feels like building something great and watching it collapse in a matter of minutes , while your opponents laugh at your loss of oxygen.
It's not your typical engine-building game that always rewards you: here , it gives and takes away , and the real challenge is keeping your cool while your colony falls to pieces. The result? By the end, we were all out of breath (in every sense of the word) and eager to try again right away.
