In Hoi Phi, you don't really trade spices, silks, or jewels… you trade with bluff, reputation, and low blows . Each turn, you play a merchant facedown, reveal him along with the others, and hope that his power—or his value—will earn you the precious hidden money needed to obtain Contracts .
The game is a strategic party where everyone tries to amass as much money as possible during the round, without attracting too much attention: the merchants with the highest reputations cash in, while the lowest-ranking one activates a unique skill that can turn the tables. And with fifteen different merchants, each game is a new mix of intuition, timing, and petty vendettas.
