🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. Create paintings by layering transparent papers
In Canvas , you play an artist competing in an exhibition. Your goal is to create three works of art by overlapping transparent cards , each with illustrations and symbols. The combination of symbols and the final aesthetic will determine the value of your painting.
2. Each turn, take an inspiration card from the central display.
You can choose from several transparent cards, but if you want a card further up the line, you have to pay with inspiration ribbons. Managing this currency is essential to accessing the best items without wasting opportunities.
3. Overlay three cards to form a complete work
When you have three cards, you arrange them to create a painting: only the visible (uncovered) symbols will count towards the end-of-game objectives . Each choice affects both the score and the visual appearance of the work.
4. Earn reward ribbons based on common goals
There are four objectives visible to everyone, such as "three different symbols," "sequences," "repeating symbols," and more. Each work can earn you ribbons (blue, red, green, etc.), which determine your final score. Well-studied combos = winning paintings .
5. The winner is the one who gets the most points with their works.
After each player has completed three boards, the points earned from the collected ribbons are tallied. Whoever successfully balanced aesthetics, strategy, and creativity will be awarded Artist of the Year!
