In Coostead, it is not weapons that win, but cunning. It is 1130 and the village elders gather to elect the new chief: you or your rival. 🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. Gain the favor of the Clans and Elders
Each player represents an aspiring Viking leader who must gain the support of the seven Elders and the village Clans, using cunning and diplomacy rather than brute force.
2. Play your cards wisely
On your turn, you take a single action , carefully choosing which card to play from your hand. Cards allow you to influence Elders, take control of Clans, or hinder your rival.
3. Manage your deck and play time
The game continues until a player has blocked 3 Elders in his favor or until the draw pile runs out and both players have run out of cards.
4. Collect points from Clans and Elders
Finally, add up the points earned by the influenced Elders and the Clans under your control . Every alliance counts, and balancing the two sources of power is the key to victory.
5. Whoever has the most influence on the village wins.
If there's a tie, the number of Followers among the controlled Elders is taken into account. This determines who will sit as the new village chief, without an axe ever being drawn.
