1. Build the city by placing Building tiles
Each turn, you draw and place tiles from your board onto the central grid, progressively building the city of Chandigarh. Each building belongs to a district and must be placed according to strategic adjacency rules.
2. Leverage the skills of municipal employees
Some actions allow you to activate characters with unique skills (such as the architect, the gardener, or the civil servant) that influence the layout of buildings or provide extra scoring bonuses.
3. Get points from building patterns
Placing tiles optimally with respect to roads, neighborhoods, and urban areas is crucial. Completing district objectives or following certain patterns earns you points toward the final score.
4. Interact with other urban planners
The board is shared, so your choices also influence those of others. You can place buildings to hinder your opponents' strategies or take advantage of the work already done by others.
5. In the end, the best urban planner wins
Once all the tiles are placed, points are calculated based on completed buildings, character bonuses, and objectives achieved. Whoever best managed space and resources wins the title of best urban planner.
