FroGames — Moments You'll Remember
Someone screams, someone laughs nervously, someone shuffles their cards for the third time. Then the VIPs arrive and no one remembers who was winning anymore.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT
Building the perfect horror attraction with last year's cards
Designed by Jasper Beatrix and illustrated by Nick Tofani, Scream Park puts you in the shoes of a horror attraction designer during a frantic Halloween season. Your boss Rickole has given you one weekend to transform last year's sets, costumes, and special effects into a scary and thematically consistent walk-through. VIPs will arrive in three waves, each with different expectations. And you only have the cards that are passed from hand to hand.
Each turn you draw two cards from a shared hand. You either add new scenes to your layout (from left to right) or enhance them with costumes, effects, and decorations. You use your staff to complete the work or to rearrange the order of the rooms and build the perfect crescendo of fear. You must keep in mind the chosen theme, the needs of the scenes, and what the VIPs will be looking for in the three rounds of Opening Weekend. The draft is fast, choices matter, and the result tells a story.
The Upgraded Edition includes a new low-crease playmat, less prone to wrinkles than the previous version.
What they say abroad
A thematic draft that builds narratives without ever losing fluidity.
— FroGames
Every card is a story, every layout a journey.

Scream Park — Upgraded Edition
The game includes official solo rules with a VIP automa that draws cards according to predefined priorities. The experience works well for testing combos and thematic strategies, but loses the tension of competitive drafting.
The elements of your haunt
What you build with the cards
Scenes
The rooms of your horror walkthrough. Each has a theme (Paranormal, Slasher, Creatures) and requires specific add-ons to be completed.
Costumes
Clothes, masks, makeup. They attach to scenes to satisfy VIP requests and increase the fear level.
Special effects
Lights, fog, recorded sounds. Add-ons that amplify existing scenes and create memorable moments.
Staff
Wild cards that complete unfinished scenes or allow you to rearrange the layout to build the perfect crescendo.
In half an hour, you'll have a horror attraction with a name, a theme, and three scenes that no one else has built quite like it.
A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
The first hand
Eight cards arrive. You choose two. Someone immediately sets up a strong scene, someone else keeps wild cards for later. Nobody knows yet what the VIPs are looking for. You start building in the dark.
The first VIP arrives
End of the first round. A random VIP card is revealed: maybe they're looking for Costumes, or complete Scenes, or a specific theme. Those who built in the right direction smile. The others realize they need to change their plan. Fast.
Reorganization
Mid-game. Someone uses Staff to move scenes and create a better layout. Others complete rooms with special effects picked up on the fly. The theme begins to emerge: some have gone all-in on Paranormal, others mix.
The second VIP and chaos
The second VIP arrives, with different requests from the first. Those who built tightly on the first theme now find themselves with useless cards in hand. Those who diversified collect points. The draft becomes more aggressive: everyone blocks the cards others need.
Opening Weekend
Last round, third VIP. Everyone counts points: complete Scenes, thematic add-ons, satisfied VIP requests. The winner is whoever built the most coherent and terrifying path. Someone laughs looking at the others' layouts. End.
How to play
The flow of each round
Three identical rounds, each concluded by the arrival of a VIP who evaluates the layouts.
Each player receives a hand of cards. They choose two cards, pass the rest to the neighbor. Repeat until all cards have been drafted.
You play the chosen cards: add new Scenes to your layout (from left to right), or attach add-ons (Costumes, Effects) to existing Scenes. Or use Staff cards to complete or reorganize.
At the end of the round, a random VIP card is revealed. Everyone counts points based on the requested criteria: complete Scenes, type of add-on, predominant theme. Points are scored.
Start again with a new draft. After three rounds (three VIPs), total points are tallied. The layout with the highest score wins.
Why it's different from others
Six mechanics that make a difference
Left-to-right narrative layout
You don't build a random tableau. Scenes are read like a path: from left (entrance) to right (climax). The order of the rooms tells a story, and VIPs reward well-constructed fear crescendos.
Random VIPs each game
You never know which three VIPs will arrive in the three rounds. One seeks Costumes, one rewards Paranormal Scenes, one wants fully themed layouts. Planning is impossible: you have to adapt on the fly.
Wild Staff cards
Staff can close unfinished Scenes or reorganize the layout by moving rooms. It's your escape valve when the draft has given you the wrong cards and you need to adjust before evaluation.
Intertwined themes
Paranormal, Slasher, Creatures: each Scene belongs to a theme. You can build pure (all Paranormal) or mix. VIPs reward both strategies, but they change each game. Consistency pays off, but flexibility saves you.
100+ unique cards
Each card is different: Scenes with unique names and artwork, specific add-ons, Staff with varied abilities. You never play the same game twice. The draft always offers new combos and unpredictable layouts.
Portable format, quick setup
Compact box, no board, no tokens. Play anywhere: small table, train, bar. Setup in 2 minutes, rules in 10. Perfect for filling an evening or as an aperitif before heavier games.
How it ends
How to win and how to lose
After three rounds and three VIPs, points are tallied. The winner is whoever built the most coherent and terrifying layout.
Victory
- Complete Scenes with all required add-ons give bonus points
- Satisfying the requests of the three VIPs (Costumes, Effects, specific Themes) accumulates high scores
- Thematically coherent layouts (e.g., all Paranormal) receive extra points from the right VIPs
Elimination or defeat
- Incomplete Scenes (without the necessary add-ons) are worth zero points
- Completely ignoring VIPs leaves you behind even with a nice layout
- Mixing too many themes without completing Scenes makes you lose both thematic bonuses and completion points
Scream Park is a draft game that rewards those who can tell stories with cards. Quick to explain, deep to master, different every time.
Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ about Scream Park — Upgraded Edition
Can it be played well with 2 players?
Yes, it works. The two-player draft is more controlled (you see all cards twice), so planning matters more. It loses a bit of chaos compared to 4-5 players, but remains strategic and fast.
How much does luck count in the draft?
Less than it seems. You always choose between two cards, and you can reorganize the layout with Staff. VIPs are random, but you have three rounds to adapt. Those who plan win more often than those who hope for the right card.
Is it suitable for those unfamiliar with drafting?
Perfect. The rules are immediate (choose two cards, pass the rest), the iconography is clear, and the first game is already played well. It's one of the most accessible drafts available, ideal as an introduction to the genre.
How long does a game really last?
25-35 minutes with 3-4 players who know the rules. The first game can go up to 40 minutes because people stop to read the cards. With 5 players, add 5-10 minutes. Still fast.
Is it available in Italian?
No, this edition is in English. The cards have descriptive texts (Scene names, add-ons, Staff abilities), so a basic knowledge of the language is required. The rules are clear and the icons help.
Scream Park is a closed draft card game for 1-5 players, lasting 25-35 minutes, recommended age 13+. Designed by Jasper Beatrix and published by DVC Games, the game has you building a Halloween horror attraction by combining Scenes, Costumes, Special Effects, and Staff cards into a left-to-right narrative layout. Each game includes three rounds with random VIPs evaluating your work based on different criteria. With over 100 unique cards, hand management, and set collection mechanics, Scream Park offers high replayability in a compact and portable format. Available on FroGames.it.
