FroGames — Moments You'll Remember
Five numbers in front of you. Everyone sees them, except you. And you have fifteen minutes to figure out what they are before someone else does.
What it's about
A puzzle in front of you — that only others can see
In Magic Five you have five numbered tiles lined up on your stand. Everyone at the table sees them perfectly. You don't. Your task is to discover which numbers you have — before your opponents do on theirs.
Designed by Yoann Levet with illustrations by Mathieu Clauss and Simon Douchy, Magic Five is a game of pure deduction: few rules, only one type of turn, short answers. Complexity arises from the questions you choose to ask — and when you decide to risk the announcement.
On your turn, you flip a tile from the central reserve, then use that or another already revealed tile to ask an opponent for a clue: where does this number fit among my five? or does this have the same value as one of my tiles? Every answer is public. Everyone takes notes on their whiteboard. And the table turns into a silent race of logic.
The soul of Magic Five
Every answer is public — but only you know what you need it for. The table listens together, deduces separately.
The secret of Magic Five in one line
Fifteen real minutes, from opening to the last "Magic Five!". No one ever waits for their turn — everyone is already thinking about the next clue.
From the game experience
Magic Five
Your arsenal
What you control in each game
5 hidden tiles
Lined up on your stand. Everyone sees them but you — and that's exactly where the challenge lies.
Two types of questions
Where does this tile fit among mine? Does it have the same value as another? Two tools, infinite combinations.
Erasable whiteboard
Pen in hand, cross out what can't be. Every game, no consumables to repurchase.
The "Magic Five!" announcement
You can declare at any time. Correct: you win immediately. Wrong: you're out. Timing is everything.
You start thinking aloud on the second turn. You stop talking only when someone shouts Magic Five.

A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
The screen goes up, the tiles hide
Everyone arranges their five tiles behind their screen — without looking at them. They show them to their neighbors, not to themselves. When all screens are down, you have four visible enigmas in front of you and one completely dark: yours. The marker is there, ready.
The first question opens the game
You turn over a tile from the reserve. It's a blue 14. You turn to the person on your right: "Where does it fit among my five?" She inserts it in the third position. You cross out all numbers on your board that cannot be in the third place. A block of possibilities has just fallen away.
Silence becomes loud
By the fourth turn, no one speaks more than necessary. Everyone is hunched over their whiteboard, crossing out rows, circling numbers. But everyone listens to others' questions — because every public answer can help you too. Someone is already counting: "I've narrowed it down to three possibilities."
The dilemma: risk or wait a turn?
You have two options left for the second tile. One probable, the other possible. If you try now and fail, you're out. If you wait, someone announces before you. You look at the table. You look at the board. You take a breath. This is the moment.
"Magic Five!" — and everything is revealed
Someone declares. In ascending order: three, eight, twelve, seventeen, twenty. The screen falls. The others check. If it's correct, game over in exactly fifteen minutes. If it's wrong, courage is eliminated and the race continues. In both cases, it's immediately set up again.
How to play
The flow of each turn
Three actions in sequence that repeat. You learn in five minutes, you master in one game.
You turn a tile face up from the central reserve. Now it is visible to everyone and can be used as a tool to ask a question.
Choose an already revealed tile and ask an opponent: where does it fit among my five? or does it have the same value as one of mine? The answer is public.
On your erasable whiteboard, cross out the numbers that can no longer be. As turns pass, the space of possibilities narrows.
At any time you can shout Magic Five! and announce your five numbers in ascending order. Correct and you win immediately, wrong and you're out.
Why it's different from others
Six mechanics that make a difference
Public information, private deduction
All answers are audible to everyone. But only you know what you truly need — others hear what you ask and don't always understand why.
Only two questions, infinite strategies
To place or to compare: these are the only options. But which tile to use, whom to ask, in what order — this is where you win.
Fifteen real minutes, not promised ones
Turns are very short because actions are clear. No one gets stuck thinking for minutes — and no one waits long for their turn.
The announcement that decides everything
You can shout Magic Five at any time. Correct: immediate victory. Wrong: elimination. The risk is real and courage is rewarded.
Whiteboard instead of disposable cards
Erasable marker and reusable board. Zero consumables, zero refills. Play as long as you want.
Bridge between generations
An eight-year-old can beat an adult — and often does. Pure logic has no prior experience: it relies only on how you look at the table.
How it ends
One way to win, one way to be out
Magic Five is a race against others and against yourself. Either you discover your sequence first, or you risk too early and are left to watch.
Victory
- Correctly declare all five of your numbers in ascending order
- The game ends immediately — it doesn't have to be your turn
- You can announce at any time, even on the first round, if you are sure
Elimination
- You declare Magic Five but at least one number is wrong or in the wrong order
- You are out of the game — the others continue without you
- No second chances, but with 15-minute games, the wait is short
Magic Five is one of those games you always find a reason to bring to the table. Fifteen minutes, few rules, a different game every time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Magic Five FAQ
What distinguishes it from other deduction games?
Magic Five uses completely public information: all answers are audible to everyone. The difference lies in which question you choose to ask, to whom, and with which tile — not knowing different secrets from others. It's closer to a shared puzzle than a cross-examination like Cluedo. And it's played in fifteen minutes, not an hour.
Does it work well with two players?
Yes, but its nature changes. In two, it's a fast logical duel, where every question you ask directly reveals information to your opponent — you have to balance what you ask with what you let slip. With three or four players, however, the game's more typical dynamic emerges: everyone hears everything, but everyone deduces in different directions. With four, it's the most complete experience.
Is it really suitable for eight-year-olds?
Yes. The rules are simple — only one type of turn, two types of questions — and children in this age range handle the required logic very well. In fact, they often beat adults precisely because they don't overcomplicate their reasoning. The only advice: for the first game together, an adult helps them understand what to note on the whiteboard.
How long does a game actually last?
Between ten and twenty minutes, with an average of fifteen. The duration depends on how soon someone risks the announcement — and if they guess correctly. This is precisely why it works well as a filler before a longer game, or as a series of consecutive games in the same session.
What is written on the tiles besides the number?
Each tile has a number and belongs to one of five different colors, with a graphic dot symbol. Colors and symbols are part of the information you use in questions — the comparison request assesses whether two tiles share the same point value, regardless of color. They are visual elements that aid reading without complicating the mechanic.
Is it available in Italian?
Yes. This is the official Italian edition published by Ghenos Games under the title Magic Five. Rulebook, components, and boards are completely in Italian — the tiles only contain numbers and symbols, so they are linguistically neutral.
Magic Five is a logic and deduction board game for 2–4 players (ages 8+, 15 minutes duration). Designed by Yoann Levet, illustrations by Mathieu Clauss and Simon Douchy, published by Blue Orange and distributed in Italy in an Italian edition by Ghenos Games. Main mechanic: deduction with shared public information. Each player has five numbered tiles hidden behind a screen, visible to others but not to themselves. Through placement and comparison questions, each participant progressively reduces the possibilities on their erasable whiteboard. The first player to correctly declare their sequence by shouting Magic Five wins. A mistake results in elimination from the game. Contains 60 tiles in five colors, 4 stands, 4 screens, 4 boards and 4 erasable markers. Game known abroad as Got Five!. Available on FroGames.it.
