🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. Draw tiles and build the landscape together
Each turn, players draw a hexagonal tile and place it on the landscape they're building. The tiles depict features such as train tracks, rivers, fields, villages, and now even cherry blossoms (a new addition to Sakura!).
2. Complete tasks to get points
Some tiles have objectives: e.g., "connect 5 fields" or "connect 4 tracks." When you complete them correctly, you earn points. Exceeding them doesn't count! Precise planning is required.
3. Collect cherry blossom petals with the new Sakura lenses
In this version, there are missions related to cherry blossom trees (a new type of tile). Connecting them correctly allows you to collect petals, unlock content, and improve your overall score.
4. Unlock new tiles and modules with the campaign system
Like the original Dorfromantik , the game evolves over time: by completing matches and missions, you unlock booster packs with new rules, tiles, objectives, and mechanics, increasing variety and challenge.
5. Work together to get the best score possible
The game is completely cooperative: you win (or lose) together by trying to optimize your choices. At the end of the game, you add up your points and track your campaign progress.

We played it… and it made our table blossom again 🐸
We played Dorfromantik – Sakura on a somewhat gray day, and the table filled with colors and light thoughts.
The game conveys an active calm: it is never anxiety-inducing, but not passive either , and every tile you place makes you feel part of something bigger.
The pace is fluid, the mechanics familiar but enriched by the surprises of the new boxes.
If you love games that are relaxing but not boring , and you want a campaign to experience with friends, children or even alone… Sakura is already a classic in its prime.
