🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. Create your own ecosystem.
In Biome, each player builds a living, breathing ecosystem by placing plants and animals on their tableau. The goal is to develop a balanced and thriving environment that generates points through biodiversity and interactions between species.
2. The seasons guide the pace.
The game unfolds through the seasons: in spring birds and rabbits create nests and hatchlings, in summer predators threaten the young, in autumn precious resources are gathered and in winter nature slows down, testing the resilience of your Biome.
3. Simultaneous actions, crucial choices.
During each phase, players act simultaneously: they draw cards, collect resources, and decide which plants or animals to introduce. Each action is unique and can only be activated once, so timing is crucial to maximize your score.
4. Interactions between species and competition.
Animals rely on plants, predators hunt to survive, and ecosystems are intertwined. You can protect your young by expanding your habitat or focus on successful hunts to earn extra points. The balance between defense and aggression makes all the difference.
5. Victory between biodiversity and adaptation.
The game ends after a full cycle of seasons: the player with the most points thanks to the variety of species, the survival of their animals, and the strategies adopted wins. With optional modules like Natural Disasters, each challenge becomes unique and even more compelling.

Biome is a strategic, solitaire board game for 1-4 players, based on tableau building and season management mechanics.
Designed by Leonie Grundler and published by Lioness Games, the game challenges you to create a balanced and functional ecosystem by populating your biome with plants, herbivores and predators.
Each season changes the dynamics of the game: in spring new cubs are born, in summer predators attack, in autumn resources are gathered, and in winter… you have to resist.
Each action can only be activated once per season, making every move critical and fraught with consequences .
The optional Natural Disasters expansion adds another layer of unpredictability, with events such as fires, droughts, and storms.

We expected a relaxing and poetic game, but instead we found ourselves faced with a strategic challenge of rare beauty.
Biome isn’t just an educational game: it’s a living ecosystem , where you have to cleverly fit your cards together, predict your opponents’ moves, and build a scoring engine that changes every season.
We really liked how the game pushes you to interact indirectly with other players , creating tension and competition even without direct conflict.
The solo mode works great, but Biome really shines with 3-4 players.
And then… yes, we've grown fond of bunnies. And the hawks that hunt them. It's nature, baby 🐰🦅
