The Crew: Journey to the Ends of the Earth announced for Gen Con 2026

Thames & Kosmos has announced the third installment in The Crew series. Journey to the Ends of the Earth will take players on a global treasure hunt, from Mount Everest to the Amazon, introducing narrative forks for the first time in the series.

Thames & Kosmos has officially revealed its plans for Gen Con 2026, and the main news will be of great joy to fans of cooperative card games: the third installment of Thomas Sing’s award-winning saga, entitled The Crew: Journey to the Ends of the Earth, is on its way.

After taking us to the edge of the solar system with *Quest for Planet Nine* and to the depths of the ocean with *Mission Deep Sea*, the new title promises a terrestrial yet equally epic adventure. This time, players will be engaged in a global race against time in search of Charlemagne's secret treasure.

The game will retain the solid, limited-communication, cooperative trick-taking structure that made the series famous, but will introduce new narrative-driven mechanics. The official description describes following clues that will lead the team from the peaks of Mount Everest to the depths of the Amazon rainforest.

One of the most intriguing innovations seems to be a fork-in-the-road structure: "It's up to you how your story ends." This suggests that, unlike the linear progression of its predecessors, the group's decisions could influence the final outcome or the path taken.

The game will be structured across 25 stages , down from the 50 missions in the first game, which suggests longer, more complex, or replayable scenarios thanks to narrative branching. Release is scheduled for Gen Con 2026, which will take place in Indianapolis from July 30th to August 2nd.
