GAME OVERVIEW
Wonderland's War: Duel is a two-player strategy game that combines card drafting, bag building, and area control in a dark fantasy setting. Players take on the role of a faction leader (Alice or the Queen of Hearts) to conquer the regions of Wonderland.


TEA PHASE (PREPARATION)
The round begins with the Tea Phase. Here, players take turns selecting cards that offer crucial resources:

**Recruitment:** Get new Followers (tokens) to add to your bag.
**Allies:** Acquire Ally cards with permanent or activated special abilities.
**Placement:** Place your Leaders and Followers in different Regions of the board to prepare for the upcoming battle.

This phase requires planning: taking a powerful card could also mean collecting dangerous **Shards of Madness**.


PHASE OF THE WAR (BATTLE)
Once the tea runs out, war breaks out in each contested region. The battle uses a draw-from-the-bag mechanism:

1. Players draw tokens from their bags simultaneously or in turns.
2. Tokens increase **Battle Strength** or activate special effects.
3. If you draw too many Madness tokens, you risk going Busted, losing units but sometimes gaining compensating benefits.
4. The player with the highest Battle Strength wins the Region, gaining victory points and control bonuses.


FORGING THE BAG
The key to victory is building an efficient bag. You must balance adding strong tokens with removing weak or Madness tokens. Ally abilities can manipulate draws, allowing you to mitigate bad luck.


END OF THE GAME
The game is played over multiple rounds (or until certain scoring conditions are met). At the end, the player who has accumulated the most Victory Points through battles, completed missions, and control of regions is crowned the new ruler of Wonderland.
