The FroGames Card
You're building a monument when someone calls a reckoning. Everyone secretly spends resources. You win. And now your rules dictate who will triumph in the afterlife.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT
Factional Wars in a Shattered Afterlife
Designed by Max Anderson, Zac Dixon, and Austin Harrison with illustrations by Reece Parker, Realm of Reckoning is set in a once magnificent afterlife, now reduced to a battlefield. The Queen of All Souls has fallen, the Five Pillars that held the realm together are scattered, and five factions vie for dominance in an endless civil war. Published by IV Studio and coming in 2026 via Kickstarter, it is a competitive game for 2-5 players that blends drafting, area control, and blind bidding.
Each turn you draw action cards that give you unique abilities and allow you to collect artifact sets. But those same cards trigger reckonings, crucial moments where everyone secretly spends resources to contend for power. The winner of a reckoning gains the right to modify the game's victory conditions. Build monuments, reclaim relics, influence areas: but remember that the way power is measured constantly changes, and it is decided by the winners of conflicts.
What they're saying abroad
"The realm was once a magnificent afterlife, ruled by the Queen of All Souls and held together by the Five Pillars — relics embodying the land’s guiding forces."
— IV Studio
This is an early read based on pre-release data. The card will be updated after the official release with verified reviews and consolidated details.

Realm of Reckoning
The instruments of power
Cards, artifacts, and relics
Action Cards
Each card you draw gives you unique abilities and allows you to collect artifact sets. But beware: they also trigger reckonings, so drafting also means deciding when to ignite the conflict.
Reckoning
Moments of reckoning where everyone secretly spends resources. Whoever invests the most gains the power to change the scoring rules. It's poker, it's politics, it's the heart of the game.
Monuments
Constructions that consolidate your influence and generate victory points, provided that current scoring conditions reward them. Building without controlling reckonings is risky.
Relics of the Five Pillars
Legendary artifacts scattered throughout the realm. Claiming them is a powerful objective, but only if you can ensure that the victory conditions value their possession.

🎲How to playThe rules in four steps▼
How to play
The flow of each round
Each round is played in overlapping phases of drafting, action, and conflict. There is no rigid turn order: everything depends on when someone decides to trigger a reckoning.
You draw a hand of cards, choose one or more, and pass the rest to the next player. Cards give you abilities, artifacts, and trigger events. The draft is closed: you only see your own hand.
You play the cards you drafted: build monuments, claim relics, expand your influence over areas of the board. Each action brings you closer to current objectives, but the rules might change soon.
Some cards trigger a reckoning. All players secretly spend resources (sealed bid auction). Bids are revealed. The highest bidder wins and gains the power to modify the game's victory conditions.
If a reckoning occurred, new scoring rules immediately take effect. Everyone recalculates their strategies. The game proceeds to the next round. After three eras, the game ends and points are counted according to the prevailing conditions.

A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Choose your faction
Each player takes one of five asymmetrical factions. Read the abilities, look at the others, try to understand who will do what. Already here, the first speculations begin about which victory conditions might emerge.
First drafts, first moves
You draw action cards, choose what to keep, pass the rest. Each card is a resource but also a potential trigger for a reckoning. Someone accumulates artifacts, someone builds the first monument. Everyone observes.
The first reckoning explodes
Someone triggers the first conflict. Everyone secretly writes down how much they want to spend. Bids are revealed. The highest bidder wins the right to modify the victory conditions. The table reacts: those who made strategic mistakes begin to reposition themselves.
War of influence
Mid-game: scoring conditions have changed at least once, and everyone must recalculate. Area control, monuments, relics: each resource is worth differently depending on who won the last reckoning. Tension rises, no one wants to waste an auction.
The last reckoning decides everything
Third era, final round. Everyone knows that the last reckoning can overturn the game. Secret bids are calculated to the thousandth. They are revealed. Someone bluffed, someone went all-in. The final conditions crystallize. Points are counted. Whoever best read the table wins.

Three honest things
Shifting conditions = instability
Scoring rules change during the game. If you don't like the idea of building a strategy that can be overturned by an opponent's reckoning, this game will frustrate you. Tactical flexibility is mandatory, not optional.
Secret bids require reading
Each reckoning is a sealed bid auction. You must read your opponents, estimate how much they will spend, and decide whether to bluff or go all-in. If you don't like hidden information mechanics, this is a significant barrier.
Release 2026, preliminary data
The game is expected in 2026 via Kickstarter. Current data is pre-release and based on playtests. Final components, balance, and rules may change. This sheet will be updated after the official release.
🏆Victory and defeatWhat the ending rewards▼
How it ends
How to win and how to lose
The game lasts three eras. At the end of the third era, victory points are counted according to the scoring conditions in effect at that moment. The player with the most points wins.
Victory
- Accumulate victory points by building monuments, claiming relics, controlling areas, and completing faction objectives
- Win reckonings to change scoring conditions in your favor and make your resources more valuable
- Have more victory points than anyone else at the end of the third era, according to the final rules
Defeat
- Invest resources in objectives that then lose value because someone else wins reckonings and changes the conditions
- Waste resources in secret auctions that you don't win, falling behind in both points and political power
- Fail to adapt to new scoring conditions and end up with fewer points than your opponents
Realm of Reckoning is not a game where the one who accumulates the most wins. It's a game where the one who controls the rules by which power is measured wins.

Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ about Realm of Reckoning
What mechanics does Realm of Reckoning use?
Closed drafting, area majority/influence, sealed bid auction, and an indirect voting system to change victory conditions. It is a strategic hybrid with a strong political component.
Are the five factions balanced?
The game is still in pre-release phase (expected release 2026). The final balancing will depend on the final playtests. Factions are asymmetrical by design, so they will have different victory paths, not identical powers.
Does it play well with 2 players?
The game scales from 2 to 5, but sealed auctions and area control work best with at least 3-4 players. With two players, the game remains tactical but loses some of its political tension and variety of alliances.
How long does a game last?
90-120 minutes according to official data. First games will be longer due to the learning curve and the need to understand how reckonings and shifting conditions work. With experience, it's around 90 minutes with 3 players.
Is it available in Italian?
No. The edition for sale is in English. The game includes cards with text, so knowledge of English is necessary. No localized editions have been announced at this time.
