HOW TO PLAYTHE PEAK TEAM
Cooperative missions, “reverse” card assignments, and shared exploration of the reserve.
1) Game Objective: Complete all team missions before the actions run out
Every ranger hastwo personal mission slotsto be completed by exploring the mountain and interacting with the fauna.
The team winsAloneifeveryoneplayers completeall their missionsbefore the available shares run out.
2) The mountain is divided into areas to be explored with different routes and means of transport
The board represents atiered mountain nature reserve, with areas to unlock and reach viapaths, passages, means of transport and alternative routes.
Finding the right path is not just movement: it isenvironmental logistics.
3) Key mechanic: “reverse drafting” to build the turn's loadout
Unlike classic card games, hereyou don't choose the cards for yourself:
every turnyou deal cards to other players, and they will do the same to you.
This system forces toplan for the team, not for themselves, and makes non-obvious communication crucial.
4) Missions require exploration, animal observation and correct use of cards
To complete a mission you mustreach specific places, observe animal speciesoruse appropriate toolsobtained through reverse drafting.
By completing a mission you getbonuses or new optionsthat improve the collective ability of the team.
5) End game and level difficulty system
If all personal missions are completedbefore the stocks end, the teamwins.
If even just one rangerdoes not finish both missions, the teamfails.
The game includes aprogressive level system, gradually increasingdifficulty, complexity and variants, to make the sessions increasingly technical and engaging.
