🧩 HOW TO PLAYPENTORINI
Pure strategy, perfect placement, zero luck.
1) A logic challenge on an 8×8 grid
The board is a grid8×8empty.
In the game they are used12 pentomino pieces(each made up of 5 squares joined in different shapes).
The goal isplace more pieces than your opponent, without ever leaving the grid or overlapping elements already positioned.
2) Each player receives 6 random shapes
Players draw6 cards – assignmentwhich determine which pentomino pieces they can use during the game.
You can't choose which shapes to have:It's part of the challenge to adaptto the set received.
3) Alternating shifts: one piece at a time
The game is played in turns.
On your turn you have to try toplace one of your piecesrespecting these rules:
the piece mustenter the grid completely,
can'toverlapto others,
you canrotate it and turn it upside downAs you wish.
4) Space, vision and anticipation: if you can't place, you're done
When you have no more legal moves,you can't keep playing, but the other side continues as long as possible.
Here's the strategy:
reduce the opponent's spaces whilekeep options open for your more complex shapes.
5) End of game and victory
The game ends whenboth players can no longer place pieces.
Count how many pieces each player has placed:

In case of a tie — rare but possible — the one who placed the first bet wins.first the last piece(recommended anti-tie rule).
