Auctions, trick predictions, special dice, and mythology that turns every round on its head.
1) Draw the secret dice: each round gets bigger and more unpredictable.
The game is tough6–8 handsdepending on the number of players.
In each hand, you draw from the bagas many dice as the hand:
e.g. 5th hand →draw 5 dice,
you hide them behind your screen,
Nobody knows your combination.
The dice include numbers of various colors, but alsoMinotaurs, Griffins and Sirens, each with superior powers in battle.
2) You make a secret prediction: how many tricks do you think you'll get?
Before starting the hand, everyonethey make a simultaneous statement, pointing with your hand (or recording it on the sheet)how many tricks do they think they can winthat hand.
It's a game offorecast, not just by strength: bidding well is worth more than winning by chance.
3) Dice Duel: Numbers vs. Mythical Creatures, with Power Hierarchies.
The first player choosesone of his dice, he pulls it and starts the battle.
The others have to pulla number die of the same color, if they can; otherwise they throw whatever they want.
The hierarchy of power is:
Minotaur > Griffin > Mermaid > Minotaur(rock-paper-scissors style triangle)
ANDany creature beats the number dice.
If there are only numbers, the winner is thetallerIn the event of a tie, the player who threw later wins.
4) Winning a trick isn't always a good thing: you have to stick to your prediction.
Whoever wins the trick takes the dice played andchoose which one to start next.
But be careful:
get the prediction right =rain of points
to make a mistake =heavy penalties
If you guess the exact number of tricks →20 points for each trick declared
If you're wrong even by 1 →-10 points for each trick difference
If you declare0 trickand you can do it →10 points for each trick played in the hand
…if you fail the 0 →-10 for each trick played, without mercy.
5) Epic bonuses: Legendary combos with the right creatures.
If, in addition to guessing correctly, you also perform one of the following feats:
Mermaid captures Minotaur without taking flags → +50 points
Minotaur captures Griffin without flags → +30 points
These bonuses make a difference and can turn the rankings around at the last second.
At the end of the last hand:
👉whoever has the highest total points wins.
