Classic Mancala, but with adorable cats and quick tactics.
1) Each player has their own line of bowls… and a warehouse to collect kittens.
The board is the classic Mancala structure:
6 bowls in front of you,
6 bowls in front of the opponent,
awarehouse(store) where you can collect your cats,
an enemy warehouse on the other side.
Each bowl contains a certain number of cat tokens: your goal is tobring more of them to your store.
2) On your turn, take a bowl and scatter the cats in a counterclockwise direction.
Choose one of your bowls, collectall catsinside and distribute them one per bowl following the path around the board.
Depositsone cat at a timeuntil you have distributed them all.
It is the heart of Mancala: a simple gesture, but one that opens up a thousand possibilities.
3) The last cat decides whether you make a normal move… or a smart play.
The square where the last cat lands determines the effect of the turn:
If it falls into theyour store, you getanother shift.
If it falls into one of your bowlsempty, you can catch cats in the bowl in front.
If it falls into a bowlfull, the opponent's turn begins normally.
Each choice is a mini-puzzle: do you want to optimize your laps or prepare a capture?
4) The turn passes, but the strategy remains: observe the position of the cats.
The game is simple but deep:
counting steps,
predict where the last cat will fall,
avoid giving extra turns to your opponent,
exploit the gaps to capture the maximum.
Meow-CALA creates quick matches, full of quick but meaningful choices.
5) End of game: when one side is empty, add the cats.
The game ends whenone of the two rowsof bowls is completely empty.
Then, the other player takes all the cats remaining on his side.
Then the totals in the stores are counted:
👉Whoever has the most cats wins.
A classic Mancala, made lighter and more adorable… but still tactical down to the last cat-seed.
