In a world where knowledge is dangerous, can you read between the lines? Fiction: Banned Books isn't just a word game; it's an intellectual challenge that transports you to the dystopian atmospheres of the great classics of banned literature. Inspired by the mechanics of Wordle but elevated to an unprecedented level of cooperative tension, this title will test your vocabulary and your powers of deduction.
One player takes on the role of the Lie-brarian (the Lying Librarian), keeper of a Secret Word from works such as 1984 , Fahrenheit 451 , or Animal Farm . The other players, in the role of the Detectors, must guess the word through a series of guesses. Sounds simple? Not at all.
The genius lies in the systematic betrayal: the Lie-brarian will provide you with clues about the correctness of your letters, but a single piece of information for each clue will be false . You'll have to use logic not only to find the word, but to unmask the lie behind every piece of help you receive.
With artwork reminiscent of Gothic stained glass windows and the aesthetic of vintage propaganda, Banned Books adds a deep, dark thematic layer to the Fiction gameplay. You're not just guessing letters; you're fighting against censorship, one deceptive clue at a time.

THE ART OF LYING
In Fiction: Banned Books , the central mechanic transforms the classic word game into a psychological battle. Players have 10 attempts (or 10 minutes) to guess the secret word. The Lie-brarian marks each attempt by indicating whether the letters are correct, present but in the wrong place, or absent. But beware: one mark per line is false . This forces players to think on two levels: which word makes lexical sense and which combination of clues is logically possible.
