The Quacks of Quedlinburg is a masterpiece of family gaming, created by Wolfgang Warsch and brought to Italy by Devir . You are a charlatan, an amateur alchemist, one of those who loves to play with mysterious ingredients and a (too) generous pinch of chance. During each round, you will randomly draw ingredients from your bag and place them in the pot… but watch out for the explosive cherry trees! One wrong move and BOOM, your potion goes up in smoke.
The heart of the game is the push-your-luck mechanic: do you keep drawing to increase the value of your potion, or do you stop before it explodes? Every game is different thanks to the many special ingredients you can purchase between rounds. With simple rules but truly interesting decisions, this title will appeal to both newcomers and seasoned gamers. 🐸 COME SI GIOCA
1. You are a charlatan who prepares potions (more or less explosive)
Each player has their own pot and draws ingredients randomly from a bag. The goal? Create the most powerful potion... without exploding.
2. Fish one at a time... and hope
During the round, you draw ingredients from your bag and place them in the pot, advancing the number of spaces indicated on the token. But be careful: if you draw too many white ingredients... BOOM , explosion.
3. Stop or take a risk? Tension is everything.
You can stop whenever you want to avoid blowing everything up. But those who are more daring can make better potions and get more points... if they don't self-destruct in the process.
4. Buy better ingredients for future rounds
At the end of each round, spend drop points to purchase new ingredients, each with special effects. The more varied your bag, the crazier (and stronger) your potions will be.
5. After 9 rounds, whoever has the most points wins (and gets the title of best charlatan)
Between explosions, random bonuses, and a pinch of alchemical strategy, the winner is the one with the most victory points at the end... but also the one who enjoyed watching other people's pots blow up.
