The FroGames Sheet
You flip the first card. Safe. The second. Relaxed. The third. Now you're sweating. Someone at the table laughs, someone counts your cards out loud, someone is just waiting for you to make a mistake. And you have to decide: stop or risk it all.
WHAT IT IS
A deck that punishes greed
Designed by Eric Olsen and published in 2024 by USAopoly (The Op Games) in an English edition, Flip 7 is a party game based on a very simple idea: flip numbered cards one after another without drawing the same number twice. But there's a problem: the deck isn't balanced. There's only one 1 card, two 2 cards, three 3 cards, and so on up to 7. The higher the number, the more likely you are to draw it. And the more likely you are to make a mistake.
Each turn, you flip cards from the common deck trying to create sequences without repetitions. You can stop whenever you want and score points, or continue to get bonuses. But as soon as you draw a number that has already appeared, you lose everything. Special cards add chaos: they give you second chances, block opponents, and overturn the score. And when someone flips seven cards in a row without making a mistake, the jackpot hits. The first to reach the target score wins. Very fast games, constant tension, guaranteed screams.
What they say abroad
"It's a simple concept elevated by special cards that keep every flip interesting."
It's a simple concept elevated by special cards that keep every flip interesting.
— The Dice Tower
Flip 7 brings that kind of party game tension to the table that also works with 18 people. The asymmetric deck is a brilliant idea: when you draw the seventh number you know the odds are against you, but you still keep going. Because you always try.

Flip 7
The unfair deck
What's inside
Numbered cards 1-7
Only one 1 card, two 2 cards, three 3 cards... up to seven 7 cards. The deck is designed to punish you: the further you go, the more the chances of repeating a number increase.
Special bonus cards
Free Flip (risk-free extra turns), Steal Points (steal points from an opponent), Freeze (block a player for one turn). They change the game in an instant.
Wild Cards
Count as any number. They can save you or destroy you: it depends on how you use them and when you draw them.
Perfect sequence bonus
If you flip seven cards in a row without repeating any number, the jackpot hits: triple points and eternal glory. One in three games manages it, but everyone tries.

🎲How to playThe rules in four steps▼
How to play
The flow of each turn
A turn lasts thirty seconds or until you make a mistake. It depends on your courage.
Take the top card from the common deck and flip it face up for everyone to see. Announce the number out loud. This is the first number of your turn.
If you stop, you collect the points from the flipped cards and pass your turn. If you continue, you flip another card. But if you draw a number that has already appeared this turn, you lose everything and your turn ends immediately.
If you flip a special card (Free Flip, Steal, Freeze, Wild), the effect activates immediately. It can save you, ruin you, or ruin someone else. Chaos is part of the game.
When you decide to stop (or are forced to after a bust), you count the points from the valid cards. If you have made a perfect sequence of seven different cards, you triple your points. The turn passes to the next player.

A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Non-existent setup
You shuffle the deck. You decide the target score (usually 77). Everyone understands the rules in ninety seconds. Someone asks, "Is that all there is to it?" Yes. And that's already too much.
The first safe turns
The first few rounds are calm. You flip three-four cards, collect points, pass your turn. Someone stops early, someone takes a little more risk. No one makes a mistake yet. But the deck remembers.
The first bust
Someone tries for the sixth card. They flip a 4. They had already flipped a 4. They lose everything. The table explodes. From this moment on, everyone counts aloud the numbers that appeared during another's turn. The tension rises.
Chaos special cards
A Steal Points comes out. Someone steals 10 points from the leader. A Freeze comes out. Someone skips their turn and screams. A Wild comes out at the perfect moment and saves a sequence that seemed lost. The game is no longer simple: it's war.
The perfect sequence
Someone attempts the big play: seven cards without repeating. The table holds its breath. They flip the seventh card. It's a new number. Triple bonus. They win the game. Everyone wants an immediate rematch.

What to know beforehand
Three things you need to know
Luck is king
There are no deep decisions. You choose whether to continue or stop, but the deck decides who wins. If you love total control, this game will drive you crazy. If you love pure adrenaline, it's perfect.
Scales up to 18, but...
With 18 players it works, but the downtime between turns lengthens considerably. The ideal setup is 5-8 players: enough chaos, acceptable downtime, everyone involved.
The replayability curve is short
After ten consecutive games, the formula repeats: you flip cards, someone makes a mistake, someone wins. The fun remains, but the surprise effect fades. Perfect for sporadic evenings, less so for marathons.
🏆Victory and defeatWhat the ending rewards▼
How it ends
How to win
The first to reach the target score (usually 77) wins. But the game can end earlier if someone makes a perfect sequence and gets enough bonus points to close it in a single turn.
Victory
- Be the first to reach the target score (77 points in standard configuration)
- Make a perfect sequence of seven different cards and triple your points, ending the game
- Use special cards at the right moment to steal points from opponents and overtake them at the finish line
Bust
- You flip a card with a number that has already appeared in your turn: you lose all points for that turn
- You are blocked by a Freeze card and skip a turn while others accumulate points
- Someone else steals points from you with a Steal card at the worst moment and pulls away irreparably
Flip 7 is the party game that effortlessly closes an evening. Rules in two minutes, twenty-minute games, pure tension. You don't buy it for strategic depth. You buy it for the screams at the table.

Frequently asked questions
FAQ about Flip 7
What mechanics does Flip 7 use?
Push Your Luck (choose whether to continue or stop), Score-and-Reset Game (points reset if you make a mistake), Interrupts (special cards that change other players' turns), Take That (cards that steal points or block opponents). The core is push-your-luck with an asymmetric deck.
Does it really work with 18 players?
Technically yes, but downtime increases significantly. With more than 10 people, turns get longer and some start to get distracted. The ideal configuration is 5-8 players: enough chaos to have fun, acceptable downtime. With 18, it's more of a challenge than a fluid game.
How much does strategy matter?
Very little. You can calculate the probabilities of drawing a number that has already appeared, but the deck is king. The only real decision is: do I stop or risk it? Special cards add tactics (when to use them, who to target), but luck dominates. If you seek total control, look elsewhere.
Is it suitable for families with children?
Yes, from 8 years old upwards it's perfect. The rules are explained in ninety seconds, you don't need to count beyond seven, and the tension of push-your-luck works even with younger children. It's one of the few party games that truly scales down well without losing its bite.
Is the edition for sale in Italian?
No, this edition is in English. But language dependence is practically nil: the cards have numbers (universal) and a few special cards with minimal text and very clear icons. You can translate the 5-6 special cards in thirty seconds and play without problems.
The people behind the game
Who invented it, who designed it, who publishes it — and what else they've done.

Scales very well with large groups, perfect for quick evenings with no setup. Available on FroGames.it with immediate shipping.

🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. Draw numbered cards, but watch out for duplicates.
On your turn, you can draw a card from the deck. If it's a number you don't already have, you keep it and can continue. But if you roll a number you already have... bust! You lose all the cards you collected that turn.
2. Stop whenever you want to save your score
You can decide to "stand" at any point during your turn: you keep the cards you've drawn and add their values to score points. But if you push too hard and get a duplicate, you lose everything!
3. Try to collect 7 different numbers
If you manage to draw 7 different numbers before stopping, you get a mega bonus: the round ends immediately and you earn a significant extra score.
4. Play special cards to sabotage or power up
The deck also includes action cards and modifiers: some allow you to draw more cards, others to influence your opponents or double your score. Use them wisely!
5. The first player to reach 200 points wins.
After each round, the scores are updated. The first player to reach (or exceed) 200 points wins the game. In the event of a tie, another round is played to decide the winner.
