Tower Stacks is SmartGames' solitaire puzzle where you have only one goal: to erect a stable castle using nine tower and wall-shaped pieces. Each challenge tells you which pieces form the foundation — the rest must be stacked on top, up to six stories high.
The rule is simple and unforgiving: no piece can stick out over the edges. Everything must fit together. In Tower Stacks, it's not enough to just place pieces randomly — you have to figure out the right order, rotate them in your head, see the castle before you build it.
Eighty challenges, from Starter to Expert level. Tower Stacks starts as a children's game and ends up challenging adults — with only one possible solution for each castle, hidden at the back of the booklet.

Choose your challenge
Open the booklet and pick a number. On the page, you'll see the castle's floor plan from above and a few pieces already in place. It looks easy. You always think that at first.
The foundations
Place the foundation pieces as indicated, on the table. The top-down view must match the challenge. So far, so good: you already have an idea of how it will end.
The piece that doesn't fit
Three pieces left and little space. One sticks out — forbidden. Another leaves a hole underneath. That plan you had in mind isn't working. Your head starts to spin.
Everything in its place
You try rotating a piece. You put it on top instead of next to it. And "click": everything fits, nothing protrudes, the tower stands. That little rush of satisfaction is why you play.
Next one, come on
Challenge solved. You look at the finished mini-castle and smile. Then you turn the page: number 47 has six floors and looks impossible. "Just this one and then I'll stop." You won't stop.
How to play
Four steps, one solution
The rules are learned in a minute. The difficulty comes entirely from the booklet, challenge after challenge.
From the booklet, from Starter to Expert level. It shows you the floor plan of the castle to be built and which pieces form the foundations.
Arrange the indicated pieces on a flat surface so that the top-down view matches that of the challenge.
Place all remaining pieces on top of the foundations. There's only one rule: no piece can stick out over the edges.
Is the tower complete and standing? Challenge successfully completed. In doubt? The solution — only one — is at the back of the booklet.
