FroGames — Moments You'll Remember
The float is assembled, the march begins, the string is tightened. And for a moment, the Holy Week procession is right there, on your table.
What it's about
Holy Week comes to the table
Cofrade Go is born from the passion of Rafael Prado, a Málaga optician who loves Holy Week, and is published by Mango Planet. The idea is simple and brilliant: no expert questions, but a game of skill and companionship. You assemble your modular float — a Christ, a Virgin, a Nazarene — and take it in procession along paths drawn with strings.
It's played in pairs: two hands on each side hold the strings, and together you move the float to the rhythm of the march, collecting "promises" without touching the edges or making sudden movements. In Cofrade Go, the winner is whoever reaches 25 points with the steadiest hand and best understanding. Can you keep the rhythm all the way to your temple?
The spirit of the game
It's not an expert quiz: it's steady hands, rhythm, and understanding. Holy Week played with your fingers.
The secret of Cofrade Go in one line
You assemble your float, start the march, and take it in procession. For a moment, the street is on your table.
From the game experience
Cofrade Go
What you have in hand
Your procession kit
Modular Floats
Assemble your float from die-cut pieces: Christ, Virgin, Nazarene. Each its own, like a real brotherhood.
Strings and cords
Nylon strings hold the float, cords draw the paths. All skill comes from here.
20 itinerary cards
Each card is a different path, with difficult turns and challenges to overcome to the rhythm of the march.
Promise cubes and score markers
Collect promises along the way and score points on the board. Whoever collects the most wins.
In a few minutes, you will have carried your float to the temple — and you'll want to do the route again. It always happens with Cofrade Go.

A five-moment procession
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
The throne is assembled
Each player builds their paso with die-cut pieces — a Christ, a Virgin, a Nazarene. The route card is revealed and the strings are laid out: the streets take shape on the table.
The procession begins
Two hands on each side grasp the strings, the throne is lifted. We start to the rhythm of the march, slowly, carefully. The first stretch seems easy — but the best is yet to come.
Promises along the way
You must collect the promise cubes without touching the edges of the road. Every movement must be agreed upon with your partner: a sudden gesture and points fly away. Understanding becomes everything.
The impossible turn
The double turn arrives, the tight bend that recalls the most difficult streets of the route. Everyone holds their breath. Those with the steadiest hand pass; those who tremble lose points along the way.
Arrival at the temple
The throne returns, the promises are counted. The team that kept the rhythm and collected the most reaches the 25-point finish line. And immediately someone suggests: another round?
How to play
The flow of each procession
Four simple steps. You learn in a minute and play in about fifteen.
Assemble the paso from the die-cut pieces, choosing Christ, Virgin or Nazarene, and attach the strings you will use to guide it.
Reveal a route card and lay out the strings to form the streets, with their curves and difficult points.
As a pair, guide the throne along the track to the rhythm of the march, collecting promise cubes without touching the edges.
Each promise collected earns points, each mistake loses them. The first team to reach 25 points wins.
Why it's different from others
Six things that make it special
Played with your hands
No questions, no culture to show off: pure skill. You guide a throne suspended by strings, and a steady hand makes all the difference.
Team-based, pure camaraderie
You play in pairs, and without understanding, you won't get anywhere. It's a game that unites, where winning together matters more than winning alone.
Modular thrones to build
Assemble your paso as you wish: a Nazarene, a Crucifix, a borriquita. Each game begins with your small work of art.
20 different routes
The route cards offer ever-new streets, with double turns and difficult bends inspired by real routes. No two processions are alike.
A tribute to tradition
Bring home the emotion of Holy Week — the rhythm of the marches, the attention, the atmosphere. To be experienced with family, believers or not.
Ages 5 and up, screen-free
Analog, immediate, for all ages: grandpa can play with his grandchild. The return to true tabletop gaming.
How it ends
Whoever keeps the rhythm, reaches the temple
You don't need to know every cofradía: you need a steady hand, understanding, and a bit of coolness on the turns. Every promise collected brings victory closer, every mistake pushes it away.
Victory
- Collect more promise cubes than opponents
- Maintain rhythm and carry the throne to the temple
- The first team to 25 points wins the game
Where points are lost
- Touch the edges of the path or make sudden movements
- Lose the rhythm and leave promises to others
- No one is eliminated: you can always recover in the next round
Cofrade Go brings Holy Week back to the tabletop: precision, teamwork, and a touch of emotion. To play with family, believers or not.
Frequently asked questions
Cofrade Go FAQ
Do you need to be a cofrade or a believer to play?
No. Cofrade Go is a game of skill and teamwork: anyone can have fun without knowing anything about Holy Week. Those familiar with the tradition will catch a few more details, but it's not at all necessary. It's a game for everyone, whether you're devoted, curious, or simply looking for a precision challenge.
Isn't it too niche a game?
The theme is Holy Week, but the heart of the game is universal: guiding a suspended object along a path without touching it, in pairs, under pressure. It could be a ship or a spaceship — it's the setting that makes it special and culturally rich. The skill mechanic works with anyone, anywhere.
How many people are needed?
From 2 to 12. It's played in pairs, so it works best with an even number of participants and a good group: more teams competing, more cheering and more fun. It also works with fewer players, maintaining the spirit of collaboration between the two holding the throne.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes, from 5 years old. It's analog, screen-free, and perfect for getting adults and children to play together — grandparents and grandchildren included. It contains small pieces and strings, so a minimum of supervision is useful with very young children, as the author himself suggests.
What language is it in?
This is the Spanish edition. As it is a skill game, the language has little impact on the actual gameplay: you look at the route and move the throne. However, please note that the route cards and instructions are in Spanish.
What kind of game is it, exactly?
A modular skill game: in pairs, you guide a throne suspended by strings along paths made of cords, collecting "promises" without making mistakes. Quick (about 15 minutes), light, and suitable for parties and family evenings. It's not a management game or a deep strategy game.
Cofrade Go is a skill board game about Holy Week for 2–12 players (ages 5+, approximately 15 min duration). Designed and illustrated by Rafael Prado (Málaga) and published by Mango Planet. Main mechanics: skill and dexterity, team/pair play, collaboration. Each pair assembles a modular throne (Christ, Virgin, Nazarene) from die-cut pieces and guides it with nylon strings along paths created with cords, collecting promise cubes and navigating the curves of the route indicated by the itinerary cards, to the rhythm of the march. The first team to reach 25 points by carrying their paso to the temple wins. An analog and family-friendly tribute to the cofrade tradition, playable even by those unfamiliar with Holy Week. Spanish edition. Available on FroGames.it.
