The FroGames Card
Open the dossier. Scroll through witnesses, crime scene photos, articles. Someone is lying. Someone knows. By the third sealed envelope, you start to realize this story is dirtier than it seemed.
WHAT IT IS ABOUT
The maestro died in the dressing room. The case is yours.
Profiler - Murder at the Opera (original title Dossiers Criminels: Le Maestro Assassiné) is a cooperative investigative game from the Dossiers Criminels series created by Jules Burghardt, Maxime Perrin, and Morgan Rauscent for Platonia Games, localized in Italy by MS Edizioni. On September 24, 2021, the renowned conductor Ernst Ejna was found lifeless in his lodge, immediately after the season premiere. French police called you: too many suspects, too many secrets. The world of classical music is not just made of angelic melodies.
At the table, you receive a folder with an elastic band containing the complete investigation dossier: testimonies, forensic reports, newspaper articles, crime scene photos, audio content. Some materials are inside four sealed envelopes that you will unlock by solving puzzles. You will need to reconstruct the timeline of events, cross-reference contradictory statements, hack a computer, unlock a phone, open an online safe. All without a rulebook: open, read, reason, solve.

The game works great solo: you analyze documents, take notes, solve puzzles without relying on social interactions. You only miss discussing theories with other investigators, but the experience remains complete and engaging.

Images of the crime scene, vintage newspaper articles, Opera brochure. Hidden details everywhere.
Audio and digital content
Recordings to listen to, a computer to hack, a phone to unlock, an online safe to open with codes.

A game in five moments
What Happens at the Table
Not the rules. The experience.
Dossier Opening
Remove the elastic band, open the folder. Inside: papers, envelopes, photos. No rulebook. Read the French police briefing: Master Ernst Ejna is dead, you must discover who and why. You begin to distribute the documents.
Initial Hypotheses
Read testimonies, scan newspaper articles, look at photos of the lodge. Names, times, contradictions emerge. Some talk about artistic rivalries, others about debts. You start taking notes on the investigation sheet.
Unlocking Envelopes
To open the first envelope, you must solve a puzzle hidden in the documents. When you succeed, you find new evidence inside that overturns your theory. The case becomes more complex, the timeline is redefined.
Hacking and Safe
Access the investigation website: you need to hack a PC, unlock a phone with a PIN, open a digital safe. Each access reveals private messages, compromising emails, hidden files. The truth is within.
Indictment and Verification
You have all the pieces. Cross-reference alibis, verify times, find the motive. You fill out the final solution on the website: who is the culprit, how they acted, why. The system tells you if you have solved the case or if something escaped you.

What to Know Beforehand
Three things to consider
Stable internet connection required
Part of the investigation requires access to the official website to hack devices and verify codes. Without a connection, some phases of the investigation are inaccessible. Plan to play where you have reliable WiFi.
Playable only once
Once the culprit is discovered and the case is solved, the experience is consumed. There is no destruction of materials: you can pass the dossier to friends or resell it, but for you the investigation is concluded. Consider the price in relation to the 1-2 hours of gameplay.
Many documents to manage
The dossier contains dozens of papers, photos, brochures, testimonies. If many people play, organizing and sharing materials requires table space and a minimum of coordination. A large table is better than a coffee table.
🏆Victory and DefeatWhat the ending rewards▼
How it ends
How to Win and How to Lose
The goal is to correctly identify the culprit, the motive, and the dynamics of the crime.
Correct Solution
- You identify the exact culprit among the suspects
- You correctly reconstruct the timeline and the motive
- You verify the solution on the website and it is correct
Failed Investigation
- You accuse the wrong person (the system tells you)
- You reconstruct an incorrect dynamic of the crime
- You get stuck without asking for clues and abandon the investigation
Profiler truly puts you in the shoes of a detective: no points, no winners, just the satisfaction of having solved a complex case with your deduction skills.
