The FroGames Card
Choose three jutsu from the six you drew. You line them up face down in front of your ninja. Your opponent does the same. You turn over the first one: someone loses health, someone burns chakra. And at the end of the third card, you understand if you got that mission right or wrong.
WHAT IT IS ABOUT
Choose your side and relive the iconic battles of the series
Naruto Shippuden: Combat of Ninjas is an officially licensed card game produced by Topi Games. It brings the battles of the Naruto Shippuden series to the table: Akatsuki versus Shinobi Alliance, with all the main ninjas, each with their own deck of Technique (jutsu) cards.
Choose your ninja, draw six cards from their personal deck, and select three for combat. You place them face down in a row against your opponent's. Reveal one card at a time: the highest damage hits, you consume chakra to cast techniques, and whoever runs out of health points loses. Missions guide you through the series' narrative until the Great War of round 5, when the most powerful ninjas enter the fray.
What they say abroad
"Naruto Shippuden card game, a recreation of iconic battles with a card system, chakra tokens, life counters, mission cards, and mission parameters."

How to play
The flow of each combat
Choose three cards from six, place them in order, reveal them one by one. The one left standing wins.
Draw a mission card. Choose your ninja (or switch to one from the same field). Draw 6 technique cards from their personal deck. Draw a Support card. If you have Mission Order cards, keep them face down.
Look at the 6 technique cards. Each card shows chakra cost, damage, and a special effect. Choose 3. Place them face down in a row, in the order you prefer. Your opponent does the same.
Reveal the first pair of cards simultaneously. Pay the chakra, apply the damage (whoever takes more damage loses life), activate special effects. Second card, same thing. Third card. Whoever runs out of life points is eliminated.
The winner takes the mission experience points (Hokage mode) or moves on to the next mission (Story mode). Check if you have completed secret mission orders. Go to the next combat or to round 5 for the Great War.

What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Choose your side
Akatsuki or Shinobi Alliance. You draw the first mission card, choose your ninja. The mission indicates who should face whom, but you can change characters for original combats. Draw six technique cards from your ninja's deck, select three. You do not show them.
The first combat
You place three face-down cards in a row against your opponent's. You turn over the first: someone throws a Rasengan (8 chakra, 24 damage), someone else responds with a Katon (6 chakra, 32 damage). Whoever takes the most damage loses life. You reveal the second card. Then the third. One of the two ninjas remains standing.
Missions and experience points
If you play in Hokage mode (points-based), whoever wins the mission gets experience points. If you complete a secret mission order, extra points. If you play in Story mode, you go directly to the next mission and relive the series' narrative, combat after combat.
Round 5: the Great War
The game changes. Naruto Shippuden's most powerful ninjas enter. You draw two Support cards instead of one. An extra Order card arrives. Combats become riskier: whoever mismanaged chakra before, now pays. Whoever saved the best jutsu, dominates.
Victory or defeat
In Hokage mode, the side with the most total experience points wins. In Story mode, whoever completes all narrative missions wins. Someone recounts which jutsu turned the tide of the final round. Someone else rereads the eliminated ninja's card and says they could have won with the other technique.

Good to know beforehand
Three things you need to consider
It works if you love the series
The mechanic is simple: choose three cards, reveal them, whoever deals more damage wins. The depth comes from the knowledge of the characters and the way narrative missions recreate moments from the series. If Naruto means nothing to you, it's a light card game without context.
The draw matters
You draw 6 cards from a deck of 15-16, you choose 3. If you draw badly the first six, your options are limited. There's bluffing and chakra management, but the luck of the draw influences each combat more than you'd like.
Scales well up to 6 players
The box says 2-6 players. With 6 people you play in teams (Akatsuki vs Alliance), combats are simultaneous, the duration doesn't stretch too much. It works best as a thematic party game rather than a tactical 1v1 duel.
🏆Victory and defeatWhat the ending rewards▼
How it ends
How to win and how to lose
It depends on the mode you chose at the beginning.
Victory
- Hokage Mode: your side (Akatsuki or Shinobi Alliance) is the first to reach the predetermined experience score (e.g., 30 or 40 points)
- Story Mode: you complete all narrative missions (1-20 + Great War) by winning more combats than the opposing side
- Extra points: you complete secret mission orders (personal objectives drawn at the beginning of the game and in round 5)
Elimination
- Your ninja runs out of life points during a combat (you take more damage than you inflict for three consecutive rounds)
- You run out of chakra and can no longer cast jutsu (each technique costs chakra, mismanage it and you'll be out of attacks)
- The opposing side dominates missions and accumulates experience faster, ending the game before you can catch up
Naruto Shippuden: Ninja Combat is an accessible thematic card game that works if you want to bring the anime to the table without a steep learning curve. Narrative missions, 26 ninjas, two game modes.

FAQ about Naruto Shippuden: Ninja Combat
What mechanics does Naruto Shippuden: Ninja Combat use?
Hand management (you select 3 cards out of 6), simultaneous confrontation (you reveal one card at a time against your opponent), resource management (chakra to cast jutsu). The highest damage inflicts the difference on the opponent. Narrative missions guide progression.
Does it really play in 20 minutes?
A single combat (mission) lasts 5-10 minutes. A full game in Story mode (all missions) can take up to 45 minutes. In Hokage mode, it depends on the preset score: 30 points finish in 20-25 minutes, 40-50 points go beyond 30.
Do you need to know the series to play?
No for the rules: they are immediate and the game works as a basic card game. Yes for the experience: the missions recreate iconic battles, the jutsu have names and effects faithful to the series. Without context, it loses half its charm.
Does it work with 6 players?
Yes, you play in teams: 3v3, Akatsuki vs Shinobi Alliance. Combats are simultaneous (you don't wait for others' turns), so the duration doesn't explode. It's designed as a party game for groups who love Naruto, not as a tactical 1v1 duel.
Is it available in Italian?
This edition is in English. Topi Games has produced the game in multiple languages (French, Spanish), but the English edition is the most widespread outside the Francophone market. Texts on cards: jutsu names, effect descriptions, missions.
