The FroGames Card
You roll the dice, you move, you knock on a doggy's door. Does it need food or a walk? And where was that treasure hidden? The children try to remember, the adults pretend not to know.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT
A dog motel where remembering everything is the secret
Designed by Rafael Prado, a Spanish optician and designer of compact games, My Scouter takes children into a canine motel where each guest has different needs and treasures to uncover. Published by Mango Planet in 2025, it is part of their line of pocket-sized travel games.
On your turn, you roll the dice, move your dog, and knock on one of the motel rooms. Each guest dog wants something: food, a walk, toys. You must remember what it asked for and where it hid the treasure. Whoever finds the most treasures and satisfies the most needs becomes the best scouter at the motel. Simple mechanics: spatial memory and roll-and-move.
What they say abroad

What's in the box
Four elements that keep attention alive
Wooden dog meeples
Each breed has its meeple: poodle, bulldog, shepherd. Detailed touches that children like and are easier to hold than cardboard tokens.
Movement die
Classic six-sided die to determine how many spaces you move. Simple, immediate, no explanation needed.
Motel board
A path that circles around the canine guest rooms. Each room hides a treasure and a need to satisfy.
Needs and treasure cards
Each doggy has a card that shows what it wants (food, play, walk) and where it hid its treasure. Flipping and memorizing them is the heart of the game.
🎲How to PlayThe rules in four steps▼
How to Play
The Flow of Each Turn
Very short turns: roll the die, move, knock, remember.
You roll the six-sided die and move your dog meeple as many spaces as the result indicates.
You stop in front of one of the motel doors. You say aloud what you want to do: satisfy a need or search for a treasure.
You flip the room card. If you guessed correctly (right need or right treasure), you keep the card or score a point. If you're wrong, you put it back face down.
The turn passes to the next player. Each round lasts only a few seconds, so even the youngest children stay focused.
⏱️Your First GameThe chronicle, moment by moment▼
A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Dog selection and setup
Each child chooses their favorite dog. The cards are arranged face down: each has a hidden need and treasure. Parents help set everything up, then the game begins.
First discoveries
The first turns are explorations: you flip cards, discover what that dog wants and where it hid the treasure. You memorize positions, try to make connections.
The die decides
You roll the die, you move. You land in front of a door: you try to remember. If you guess the need or find the treasure, you score points. If you're wrong, you flip the card and memory restarts.
The race heats up
More attentive children start remembering better. Adults pretend to forget. Someone finds the difficult treasure, someone loses a turn on a wrong need.
Final count
Treasures found and needs satisfied are counted. The dog with the most points becomes the best scout of the motel. Children want to play again, this time with shuffled cards.
🐸What to Know BeforehandThree honest things, from friends▼
What to Know Beforehand
Three things you should consider
The structure always remains the same: spatial memory with dice. After about ten games, older children might look for games with more variety or extra mechanics.
If you don't roll the right number, you won't reach the room you're interested in. This can slow down children who have memorized well but can't get where they want.
Perfect for the 4-7 age group. Above 8, most children will find it too simple and will prefer games with more choices or challenges.
🏆Victory and DefeatWhat the ending rewards▼
How it ends
How to win
The player who accumulates the most points by finding treasures and satisfying needs wins.
Victory
- Each treasure found earns points
- Each need correctly satisfied adds to the score
- The player with the most points at the end is the best motel scout
No eliminations
- No one is eliminated: everyone plays until the end
- If you make a mistake, you don't lose points, you simply don't gain any
- The game lasts until the cards run out or a predetermined number of turns is reached
My Scouter is a perfect first board game: it teaches memorization, turn-taking, and managing dice luck, all within 15 minutes that children will want to repeat immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ about My Scouter
Is it really suitable for 4-year-olds?
Yes, the rules are immediate and parents can help in the first few turns. The memory mechanic is universal, and 4-5 year olds often beat adults because they have excellent visual memory.
Does it work well with adults?
Adults can play, but it's designed for younger children. If you play with children, it's fun to see how much better they remember. As a game just for adults, it's too simple.
How long does a game really last?
About 15 minutes. With very young children, it might take a bit longer if they get distracted, but the quick turns help maintain attention.
What mechanics does My Scouter use?
Roll-and-move (you roll the die and move) and spatial memory (you have to remember what's under each card and where). Nothing more: total accessibility.
Is it available in Italian?
The edition for sale is in English, but the game is almost language-independent: the cards use visual symbols and the dogs' needs are represented with clear icons. You just need to verbally explain the few words present.
The people behind the game
Who invented it, who designed it, who publishes it — and what else they've done.
My Scouter is a board game for children aged 4 and up, designed by Rafael Prado and published by Mango Planet. For 2-5 players, with 15-minute games, it uses memory and roll-and-move mechanics to train spatial memory and the ability to recall hidden information. Set in a dog motel, each player must satisfy the needs of the canine guests and find the treasures hidden in their rooms. Pocket-sized format, wooden meeples, accessible even to the youngest.
