The FroGames card
Seven throws, no repeated numbers. Then comes eight: it's a nine, you're in the lead. You throw again. Nine. Everything reset. The table explodes.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT
When stopping is worth more than daring
Happy Double - Corri il Rischio (original title Happy Double: No Risk No Run!) is a dice party game designed by Christopher Manuel for Denkriesen and brought to Italy by Giochi Uniti in autumn 2026. Graphics by Marc Grimmer, Lisa Ganz and Felix Holzkämper. Eight players at the table, twenty minutes on the clock, an impossible balance between audacity and caution.
You roll two twelve-sided dice, mark the highest number on your sheet, decide whether to stop and cash in or continue and risk everything. Because if you roll a number you've already marked in the round, you lose all accumulated points. Doubles give you action cards that can save you, sink others, or turn the game around in an instant. Ten rounds, the player with the most points wins. The tension is all about deciding when to call it quits.
What they say abroad
"Fordere in diesem rasanten Würfelspiel dein Glück heraus"
Challenge your luck in this frantic dice game
— Denkriesen
Happy Double promises fast-paced evenings where every roll can be the last. It's a newly released game, we're following it with curiosity and will update the card as soon as we have more feedback from the table.

Happy Double - Corri il Rischio (Happy Double: No Risk No Run!)
What you find in the box
Four elements, zero complications
Two 12-sided dice
They are the heart of the game. Each roll has twelve possible outcomes, and the highest die is what counts. Large numbers = more points, more risk.
Score sheets
Ten rows, one per round. You mark the numbers you get, sum them, and pray you don't repeat. If you repeat, you erase everything and pass.
Action cards
Doubles = you draw a card. They can give you a save, block an opponent, force someone to roll again. The controlled chaos of the game.
Lifesaving owls
Some game mechanics mention "lifesaving owls": details to be discovered, but they seem to be a chance to avoid disaster when you repeat a number.

🎲How to playThe rules in four steps▼
How to play
The flow of each round
Four steps, repeated ten times. Fast, brutal, honest.
You roll both 12-sided dice. You look at the results. The higher number counts, you mark it on the sheet for the current round.
You can stop now and secure your points, or roll again to add more numbers. But if a number you've already marked comes up, you lose the entire round.
If both dice show the same number, you draw an action card. It could be a save, an attack on others, or a special rule. You play them immediately or keep them for later.
When everyone has stopped (or zeroed out), scores are tallied. Whoever has the most points in that round wins that piece. After ten rounds, whoever has the most total points wins the game.

A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
First rolls, false sense of security
Everyone rolls calmly. Low numbers, no one is risking yet. Some stop at three rolls, others aim for a fourth. No one loses. This is when you think the game is easy.
The first wipeout
Someone rolls a sixth die. A number already marked comes up. Everything zeroed out. Faces change. The table laughs. From now on, no one is relaxed anymore.
Action cards in play
Doubles come out. Action cards enter the field: one saves you, another forces a neighbor to roll again, another blocks someone. The game is no longer just luck, it's also timing and malice.
The all-or-nothing round
You're up by a few points, two rounds left. You roll. Again. Again. You have eight different numbers. One more roll and you're unstoppable. Or zeroed out. You choose. The table holds its breath.
Last row, final count
Tenth round. Tally everything up. Those who dared too much are out of the game. Those who stopped in time win by three points. Someone immediately asks for a rematch.

Good to know beforehand
Three honest things
Luck matters too much
If the dice don't roll your way, you can make all the wise choices in the world and still lose. There's no way to control the results. If you're looking for deep strategy, this isn't the right game.
After ten games, it repeats
The structure is always the same: roll, decide, repeat. Action cards add variety, but the core of the game doesn't change. Perfect as a filler, less so as the main event of the evening.
Scales poorly above 6 players
The game says 2-8, but with eight people, downtime increases. The sweet spot is 3-5 players: enough chaos, not too much waiting between turns.
🏆Victory and defeatWhat the ending rewards▼
How it ends
How to win and how to lose
After ten rounds, points are tallied. Whoever has the highest total wins. Simple, direct, no beating around the bush.
Victory
- You dared at the right moments and stopped in time before zeroing out
- The action cards you drew gave you extra points or saved you from disasters
- You scored more total points than others after ten rounds
How you lose
- You repeated a number already marked in the round and zeroed out too many turns
- You stopped too early while others risked and won
- Luck didn't turn your way and the dice betrayed you at key moments
It's a game where you can't control the dice, but you can control when to stop. And that difference, at the table, is felt completely.

FAQ about Happy Double - Corri il Rischio (Happy Double: No Risk No Run!)
Is it suitable as the first game of the evening?
Yes, it's perfect. Rules in three minutes, no preparation, 20-minute games. Use it to warm up the group or as a light closer after a heavy game.
Does it work well with 8 players?
Technically yes, but the best experience is with 3-5 players. With eight people, downtime increases and energy drops. If there are many of you, it's better to split into two tables.
How much does luck weigh compared to strategy?
Luck is dominant. You can play intelligently (stopping at the right moment, using cards well), but if the dice don't roll, you lose. It's a party game, not an eurogame.
What mechanics does Happy Double - Corri il Rischio use?
Push-your-luck with dice, simultaneous writing on score sheets, instant-activation action cards. Everything revolves around calculated risk and managing greed.
Is the edition in Italian?
Yes, the edition distributed by Giochi Uniti is entirely in Italian: cards, rulebook, score sheets. Releasing in autumn 2026.
