The FroGames Card
The buffet empties fast. You reveal your Mood card, someone plays the same, and you both have to drink. By the third virtual beer, you always make the wrong move. And meanwhile, your friends have taken all the good meat.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT
A buffet race where playing the same card costs dearly
All You Can Eat Buffet is a card game by Bruno Faidutti (Citadels, Mascarade) and Théo Rivière (Super Cats), published in 2026 by Mojito Studios, a small American publisher from Miami. The theme is simple: you're at an all-you-can-eat buffet, the table is full, you have to fill your plate with the right combinations before everything runs out.
Each player has a deck of Mood cards that they play simultaneously to take food from the table. The cards are resolved in player order, but there's a catch: if two people play the same Mood, they must toast and take a drink token. Too many drinks and you no longer control which card to play. After 10 rounds, points are counted: each type of food scores differently (meat is worth direct points, fruit rewards variety, garlic costs points unless paired with parsley). The player with the most points wins.
What they say abroad
"Compete with up to 5 friends to grab the best dishes from the buffet, build the tastiest collection, and mess with everyone else's plans along the way."

— Mojito Studios
It's a game that promises hand management, timing, and direct interaction. Faidutti has always had a knack for party games with a mechanical twist (Citadels teaches us that), and here the system of drink tokens that make you lose control over your cards seems designed to make the table laugh. We will update this card when we have more feedback. First read, July 2026.

All You Can Eat Buffet
What you put on your plate
Four elements that make the buffet go round
Mood Cards
Each player has the same deck. Choose your Mood, everyone reveals together. If someone plays yours, you toast and get a drink token. Too many drinks and you no longer choose.
Food on the table
Meat, fruit, garlic, parsley. Each type scores differently: meat is worth direct points, fruit rewards variety, garlic costs a lot unless paired. You need to know what to take.
Drink Tokens
You get them when you toast. After a certain number, you lose control and someone else plays your cards. Chaos increases, strategy decreases, laughter rises.
Combinatorial Scoring
10 rounds, then you count. Each food has its own rule: sets, majority, forbidden pairs. Those who planned best win, those who drank too much hope.
🎲How to playThe rules in four steps▼
How to play
The flow of each round
Play a card, take food, toast if someone copies you. In 10 rounds you're full or drunk.
All together, draw a Mood card from your hand. Keep it covered. When everyone is ready, reveal simultaneously.
If two or more players have played the same Mood card, they must toast and each take a drink token. Too many drinks and you lose control: someone else will play for you in subsequent turns.
In player order, each Mood tells you what to take from the central table: meat, fruit, garlic, other. Take the food and place it in front of you. If your card says something that is no longer there, skip the turn.
Repeat for 10 rounds. At the end, count points according to the rules of each food type: meat is direct points, fruit rewards variety, garlic costs less than parsley. Whoever has the most points wins.

A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Everyone to the buffet
The table is full of food, Mood cards are in hand. You choose what to play, someone is already laughing because they know you'll play the same card. You reveal: you're right. Cheers. First drink token. The game has begun.
The first calculations
After 3 rounds you understand which foods are worth more and who is building fruit sets. You start avoiding the cards others often play, but someone toasts again and accumulates drinks. The table laughs.
Someone drank too much
Mid-game. One player has 3 drink tokens and no longer chooses: their neighbor draws the card for them. Others take advantage, taking the good meat, leaving garlic and traps. Chaos rises, as do the laughs.
The final sprint
Rounds 8-9, food runs out. Those with parsley can take garlic without penalty, those with fruit want to complete the set. Two players toast again: at this point no one remembers who controls what anymore.
The surprise tally
Round 10, finished. You count the points: someone who seemed out has a perfect collection, someone who was dominating has too much garlic and no parsley. Someone won by drinking half the table. No one remembers exactly how.
🐸Before you know itThree honest things, from friends▼
Before you know it
Three things to expect
With 3-4 players you can anticipate moves and avoid toasts. With 6 it becomes roulette: someone always toasts, drink tokens fly, control decreases. If you want pure strategy, play with fewer people.
When you accumulate too many drinks, someone else plays your cards. It's fun for the table, frustrating for you. If you don't like losing control over your choices, this mechanism can be annoying.
Each food scores differently: simple meat, fruit in sets, conditional garlic penalty. The first game ends and someone asks "but how do you count?". It takes a round to memorize the scoring rules.
🏆Victory and defeatWhat the end rewards▼
How it ends
How to win and how to lose
After 10 rounds, you count the points. Whoever has built the right combinations wins. Whoever has drunk too much hopes for luck.
Victory
- Collections of high-scoring food: meat for direct points, fruit for variety, garlic paired with parsley
- Strategic management of Mood cards: you avoid toasts, always control your choices, take the best food
- Perfect table reading: you know what others are playing, avoid traps, accumulate points without drink tokens
Defeat
- Too many drink tokens: after 3-4 toasts someone else plays for you, you lose agency and take random food
- Garlic without parsley: it costs negative points, and if you don't have the counterweight you end up below zero
- Incomplete collections: you have mixed fruit but not the set, little meat, no strategy. Others planned, you improvised
All You Can Eat Buffet is a party game with simultaneous selection and a social twist: if someone copies you, you drink and lose control. Faidutti and Rivière have built a game that promises laughs and calculation in equal measure.

FAQ about All You Can Eat Buffet
What mechanics does All You Can Eat Buffet use?
Simultaneous selection (everyone plays a card together), hand management (you choose when to use each Mood), set collection (you build food combinations that score differently) and conditional penalty (drink tokens take away your control). It's a party game with a tactical layer underneath.
Does it work better with 3 or 6 players?
It depends on what you're looking for. With 3-4 players you can read the table, avoid toasts, plan. With 5-6 it becomes more chaotic: someone always toasts, drink tokens fly, control decreases. The first is more tactical, the second more party-oriented.
Do drink tokens really take away control or is it just thematic?
They really do take away control: according to the rules (estimated from the BGG description), when you have too many drink tokens you no longer choose which card to play, but someone else does it for you or you draw randomly. It's the central twist of the game, not just flavor.
How are points counted at the end?
Each type of food has different rules. Meat is direct points (1 point = 1 card, hypothesis). Fruit rewards variety: more different types, more points. Garlic costs negatively unless you have parsley, which neutralizes the penalty. The system is combinatorial, not linear.
Is it available in Italian?
The edition for sale is in English. The game is published by Mojito Studios, a small American publisher from Miami, and at the moment (July 2026) there are no localized editions. The Mood cards are probably language-independent (icons), but the rules and food cards might have text.
The people behind the game
