FroGames — Moments You'll Remember
Someone trusts the dice. Someone buys a gadget at the last second. Someone swears Zenigata will never catch them. And in the end, no one remembers who had the jewel.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT
A desperate escape across Italy with Zenigata hot on your heels
Lupin III: The Italian Adventure is a competitive game designed by Sen-Foong Lim and Alara Cameron for Japanime Games, published in Italy by Giocorò. Set in the iconic anime universe, the game puts you in the shoes of a thief who has just stolen a precious jewel from the Italian mafia. Now you must cross half the peninsula, from Milan to Naples, from Venice to Rome, while ICPO Inspector Zenigata tracks you down. Each player embodies a character with unique abilities, from Lupin's reflexes to Jigen's precision, Fujiko's grace to Goemon's cunning.
At the table, you roll dice to move, choose whether to push your luck or stop in time, face Opposition cards representing unexpected dangers, and use technological gadgets to turn situations around. Each round is a race against other thieves and against Zenigata: whoever falls behind gets caught, whoever arrives first with the loot wins. The game includes an official board, licensed sleeved cards, and premium components that immerse you in the animated series.

Lupin III: The Italian Adventure
Your arsenal
Characters, gadgets, and dangers
Iconic characters
Each thief has a unique ability: Lupin escapes traps, Jigen rolls dice better, Fujiko manipulates others, Goemon cuts through obstacles. Choose who you resemble.
High-tech gadgets
Jetpacks, grappling hooks, explosives, jammers. Each gadget costs and is used once, but it can save you when Zenigata is one step away. Buy them at the right time.
Opposition cards
Roadblocks, helicopter chases, mafia betrayals. Each card is a danger that can slow you down or eliminate you. Some gadgets nullify them.
Escape dice
Roll the dice to advance. You can re-roll them to go further, but each failed roll brings you closer to Zenigata. Stop in time or risk it all.
In half an hour, someone will have a story to tell. And no one will remember who had the jewel at the beginning.
A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
The heist is on
You draw your character, someone is Lupin, someone Jigen. Everyone laughs. Then you look at the Italy board and realize that Zenigata is right behind you. The tension immediately rises. Someone already buys a gadget.
The first crucial roll
You roll the dice. Two good faces, one neutral. You decide to re-roll. It goes badly. Zenigata advances. The table laughs, but you don't. You understand that every die is a gamble.
Someone falls behind
Mid-game, someone is too slow. Zenigata catches up to them. Eliminated. The table goes silent for three seconds, then resumes rolling dice as if nothing happened. Now the pressure is real.
The perfect gadget
You are at a disadvantage. You use the jetpack at the last second. You jump three spaces, overtake two opponents. The table roars. This is the moment you'll tell stories about at the next game night.
The final sprint
Two players are neck and neck. One rolls the dice, re-rolls them, re-rolls them again. Double six. Wins. The other remains there, with Zenigata watching him. Game over. Someone already wants to play again.
How to play
The flow of each round
Each turn is a quick sequence: roll, decide, face, advance. Zenigata doesn't wait.
You roll your movement dice. Each good face moves you forward, each bad face doesn't. You can stop here or risk it and re-roll the bad dice.
If you re-roll and get more good faces, you advance further. If you get more bad faces, you don't advance at all this turn. The risk is yours.
You draw an Opposition card: it can be a block, a chase, a trap. Some gadgets cancel it, others don't. If you don't overcome it, you slow down.
At the end of the round, Zenigata moves forward. Whoever is furthest from the goal is caught and eliminated. There is no mercy.
Why it's different from others
Six mechanics that make a difference
Push your luck with dice
It's not just rolling and hoping. Every re-roll is a choice: stop in time or risk everything to overtake others. The game rewards those who can calculate risk, but the dice can always betray you. That's the beauty of it.
Single-use gadgets
Gadgets are bought with limited points and used only once. Jetpacks, grappling hooks, explosives: choose when to activate them. Using them too early is a waste, too late can be fatal. Timing is everything.
Unique character abilities
Each thief has a different skill. Lupin ignores traps, Fujiko manipulates other players' dice, Goemon cuts through obstacles. They are not cosmetic: they change tactics. Choose the character that feels like you.
Variable Opposition cards
Each round you draw a card that can block you, slow you down, or eliminate you. Some are overcome with dice, others with gadgets, others with abilities. You never know what awaits you. Have a Plan B.
Zenigata eliminates
He's not just a timer: Zenigata moves based on the table's results. Whoever is last is eliminated. Elimination is not random: it's your fault if you're slow. The pressure is constant.
Premium licensed components
Official sleeves, illustrated board, acrylic standees, collectible cards. Everything evokes the anime. It's not just merchandise: the components make the experience more immersive. It's worth the price.
How it ends
How to win and how to lose
You finish first or you get caught. There's no middle ground.
Victory
- You are the first to reach the last space on the board with the jewel still in your hand.
- You are the only thief left in the game while everyone else has been caught by Zenigata.
- You use your character's special ability to steal the jewel from an opponent on the last turn and win.
Elimination
- Zenigata catches you because you are the last player on the board at the end of a round.
- You fail a critical Opposition card and are caught immediately.
- You run out of all movement options and can no longer advance: Zenigata eliminates you.
Lupin III: The Italian Adventure is half an hour of pure tension. Every die is a gamble, every gadget a salvation, every round a race against time. If you love risk, bluffing, and laughter, this game is for you.
Frequently asked questions
FAQ about Lupin III: The Italian Adventure
Do I need to know the anime to enjoy the game?
No. The theme is strong and the characters are iconic, but the game works even if you've never watched an episode. The push-your-luck mechanics and elimination work on their own. If you know Lupin III, however, the experience is more immersive: you recognize the abilities, gadgets, and the relationship with Zenigata.
Is it a family game or just for experts?
It's a perfect gateway game: rules in 10 minutes, fast-paced, but enough tension to engage even experienced players. It works well with teenagers and adults (14+). It's not for small children: elimination can be frustrating and a minimum of risk calculation is required.
How much does luck count?
A lot. The dice decide how far you advance and Opposition cards can ruin your plan. But it's not pure randomness: you choose when to re-roll them, which gadgets to use, when to use your special ability. Luck can be mitigated, but not eliminated. If you're looking for total control, this isn't the right game.
Can it be played well with 2 players or does it require a full table?
It works with 2 to 5 players, but with 2 players, it loses a bit of its chaos. Elimination and the race are more fun with 3-4 players, when Zenigata can catch someone and the table explodes. With 5 players, the game is longer but also more unpredictable. The sweet spot is 3-4 players.
Is it available in Italian?
Yes. The Giocorò edition includes rules, cards, and components entirely in Italian. No language barriers: you can play immediately. The licensed sleeves and premium materials are the same as the international edition.
