The FroGames card
You don't capture the asteroid. You capture the satellite. Same resources, but the Life Condition icons change everything: build ecosystems faster, with different choices.
WHAT IT IS
Eight tiles that change how you capture asteroids
Entropy: Satellites is an official promo for Entropy, the solar system building game by Simone Luciani, Tommaso Battista, and Nestore Mangone (Barrage, Darwin's Journey, Nucleum). The set includes eight Satellite tiles that are placed alongside the corresponding Asteroid tiles on the board.
When you resolve the Capture an Asteroid action, you can choose a Satellite tile instead of the Asteroid. The cost is the same, but instead of activating the Planet's effect, you get two Life Condition icons. A tactical variation for those who want to accelerate ecosystem development or bypass less convenient planetary effects at that stage of the game.
What they say abroad
"Use entropy to create new Solar Systems, shape new biomes, and seed Planets with life."
Use entropy to create new Solar Systems, shape new biomes, and seed Planets with life.
— Board&Dice
This promo adds a clean tactical choice: when the Asteroid's effect isn't what you need, Satellites give you the icons you were looking for. Small addition, concrete impact on planning.

Entropy: Satellites Promo
Entropy has a solo mode with dedicated rules. Satellite tiles work the same way: they offer an alternative to Asteroids even against the automa, but the impact is smaller without the competitive pressure for resources.
What you find in the promo
Eight tiles, one more choice
Satellite Tile
Eight tiles placed next to the Asteroids. When you capture, you can take the Satellite instead of the Asteroid: same cost, two Life Condition icons instead of the Planet effect.
Life Icons
The two Life Condition icons accelerate the construction of ecosystems. Useful when you already have the planetary bonuses you need and just want to complete the population requirements.
Tactical decision
They don't replace Asteroids: they complement them. Each turn you choose which to capture based on what you need at that moment. Flexibility without complexity.
Clean integration
No additional rules. You use them during the Capture an Asteroid action you already know. Add the tiles to the setup and you're ready.

Integration into gameplay
Satellite tiles do not change the rules. They are added to the setup and become an option during the Capture Asteroid action.
During setup, place the eight Satellite tiles next to their corresponding Asteroid tiles on the board. Each Asteroid now has a twin Satellite.
When resolving the Capture an Asteroid action (as per the basic rules), you look at both the Asteroid and the available Satellite. You decide which to capture.
You pay the cost of the Asteroid (identical for the Satellite). If you take the Asteroid, you activate the Planet's effect. If you take the Satellite, you get two Life Condition icons instead.
The captured Satellite disappears (like the Asteroid). You evaluate which Satellites remain and whether it's worth returning to that space or looking elsewhere for the icons you need.

How the table changes with Satellites
Not the rules. The experience.
Setup with options
You place the eight Satellite tiles next to their corresponding Asteroids. The board looks the same, but each Asteroid space now has two faces. You look at the Life icons on the Satellites and begin to understand where they will be useful to you.
First choice
You arrive at an Asteroid Capture space. The Asteroid would give you the Planet's effect, but right now you need Life icons to complete a biome. You take the Satellite. Choice made, no regrets.
Reading opponents
Another player captures a Satellite you wanted. You can no longer count on those two Life icons: you have to replan. Satellites are limited, and they disappear quickly in four-player games.
Optimization
Mid-game. You have built complex solar systems, and now every resource counts. Choosing between Asteroid and Satellite is a micro-decision that can gain you an entire turn. Life icons are golden.
Endgame
You count the points. That Satellite you captured in round three allowed you to complete an objective earlier. It didn't win the game, but it gave you the edge you needed. Small promo, measurable impact.

Not for everyone
This is a promo. It's not necessary to play Entropy, and many players won't miss it. It's for those who want an extra degree of flexibility in strategies oriented towards Life Conditions, not for those who are still learning the base game.
Limited availability
Like all promos, the print run is limited. If Entropy becomes one of your stable games and you want this material, get it now: in six months it might be unavailable or at inflated prices on the secondary market.
Calibrated impact
Satellites don't overturn the balance. They offer an alternative path when the Planet effect is not needed, but they are not always the best choice. In some games you will never use them, in others they will be decisive. It depends on the strategy and setup.
🏆Victory and defeatWhat the ending rewards▼
How it ends
When Satellites make a difference
Satellites don't change Entropy's victory conditions. They change the tactical options to get there.
When they are needed
- You are aiming for fast colonization strategies and Life icons are worth more than Planet effects
- You have already accumulated the bonuses you need and just want to complete ecosystem requirements
- An opponent has captured the Asteroid you wanted: the Satellite still gives you useful resources
When they are not needed
- Planet effects are stronger for your current strategy than passive Life icons
- You are playing your first games and still don't have a clear understanding of Life Condition management
- The game is already decided and micro-optimizations won't change the final result
A promo for those who have already played Entropy and want an extra tactical lever. Eight tiles that don't change the game, but give you a choice when needed.

FAQ about Entropy: Satellites Promo
Do I need this promo to play Entropy?
No. Entropy is complete without the promo. Satellites add tactical flexibility, but are not necessary for the basic experience. This material is for those who want to expand strategic options after playing several games.
Do Satellites replace Asteroids or are they added?
They are added. Each Satellite tile is placed next to its corresponding Asteroid. When you capture, you choose whether to take the Asteroid (Planet effect) or the Satellite (two Life icons). Once one of the two is captured, the other remains available to other players.
Does it also work in solo play?
Yes. Entropy has official solo rules and Satellites integrate without modification. They offer an alternative to Asteroids even against the automa, but the impact is smaller without the competitive pressure for limited resources.
What mechanics does Entropy: Satellites Promo use?
It is a modular expansion that integrates with the resource capture action of the base game. It does not introduce new mechanics: only alternative tiles with different output (Life Condition icons instead of Planet effects).
Is it available in Italian?
This edition is curated by Cranio Creations for the Italian market. The promo components are language-independent (tiles with icons), making them compatible with any edition of Entropy.
