Some words written backwards appear on the parlor mirror: "Alice, we need a new queen." In Queen Alice you belong to the court beyond the looking glass, and your task is to prepare the banquet for the coronation. The one who does the best job will become the sovereign's right hand. Designed by Héctor Carrión and David Heras Pino, with illustrations by Amelia Sales, published by Combo Games.
The heart of Queen Alice is the "chess-building" system: you play a card from your hand to move a chess piece and activate one of four actions — the flower garden, Humpty Dumpty's wall, the Tweedledum and Tweedledee tree, the king's messengers. Each move powers your engine and brings you improved cards, passive benefits, and valuable resources.
But the most thrilling part of Queen Alice is the race for the crown's color: you sway influence towards the Red Queen or the White Queen, while only some of Alice's Wishes will be realized and scored. Choose your actions carefully, keep an eye on your opponents — and pray they don't push the crown in the opposite direction to yours.
You play a card, move a piece, activate an action: chess becomes the engine of your combos.
