In Unreliable Wizard you are a young inexperienced wizard who is entrusted by the king a mad task: defeat the Demon Lord and save the princess . With a deck of only 32 cards, you will have to advance along the path, paying life points to overcome terrains and face battles that test your cunning and your luck.
Each card played is a spell to be built, a combination to be guessed, a traveling companion to be exploited at the right time. You will lose life, find magic, You will gain allies… but only if you defeat the Demon King can you say you have completed your mission.

🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. Embark on your magical journey
You are an apprentice wizard sent by the King to defeat the Demon Lord and rescue the Princess. You advance across a map of cards, spending Hit Points to traverse the different terrains.
2. Tackle the battle points
Some spaces on the map contain mandatory encounters with the Demon's minions. Here, you'll need to use your library of cards to cast spells and defend yourself.
3. Create spells with magic patterns
The cards in your hand reveal patterns of magic : match them correctly to unleash more powerful spells. Sometimes your traveling companions add special abilities that turn the tide of battle.
4. Win and enrich your deck
Each victory against an enemy rewards you with new cards: more effective spells or helpful companions who join your quest. The further you advance, the more versatile your deck becomes.
5. Defeat the Demon Lord
If you make it to the end of the map alive and manage to defeat the final Demon , you've completed the mission and won the game. But beware: every choice along the way consumes precious resources, and your life hangs in the balance.

Unreliable Wizard – The Apprentice No One Wanted, But Needed
The King chose you. Not because you're the best, but because there was no one else. In Unreliable Wizard , you are a clumsy and erratic apprentice wizard, called to stop the Demon Lord and restore peace to the kingdom.
Every card you play is an uncertain spark: sometimes a powerful spell, sometimes a complete failure. But along the way, you may meet unlikely companions , learn new spells, and perhaps, with a little luck, make it far enough to challenge the Demon and save the princess. It's a short but intense journey, where courage and misfortune go hand in hand.
An ironic and unpredictable card solitaire
Unreliable Wizard is a solitaire card board game published by Salt & Pepper Games.
With a compact deck of 32 cards, it offers quick games of about 15 minutes, perfect for playing during breaks or as filler between longer games. It's a solo adventure game , where you traverse dangerous terrain by paying life points, battle Demon minions, and collect new spells or allies. The goal is to reach the end of the path and defeat the Demon Lord : simple to explain, quick to play, and with enough unexpected twists to never feel boring.
