FroGames — Moments You'll Remember
You place a bee, a flower blooms, your opponent snatches it. In the hive, glory is earned one petal at a time.
What it's about
Medieval bee colonies fighting for the glory of the realm
Propolis puts you in command of a medieval bee colony. You deploy your workers — the "beeples" — on the flowers of the realm to collect pollen and nectar, then return to the hive to transform them into the resources you need to build. Small box, 15-30 minutes, huge ambition.
Behind Propolis is the Flatout Games trio — Molly Johnson, Robert Melvin, and Shawn Stankewich, the same minds behind Cascadia and Calico — with the warm and organic illustrations by Dylan Mangini. Their signature style remains the same: simple rules, never trivial decisions.
Each turn you deploy bees, fortify them to count double in majorities, gather resources, and construct structures that fuel your engine. The one who dominates the blooms and raises the most glorious palace for the queen wins. Propolis is an accessible eurogame with the hidden depth of great placement games.
What they're saying abroad

— Meeple Mountain
Twenty minutes, a handful of bees, and a small territorial war over flowers. Easy to explain, surprising to play.

Propolis
The official solo mode uses a deck of cards that hinders your bees: a score to beat, quick and clean challenges. It doesn't replace the race for majorities against real opponents, but it's engaging and flows smoothly.
The heart of the game
What you control in each game
Your worker bees
Deploy your beeples on the flowers to claim spaces and gather resources. Fill a card or place just one to block an opponent: the choice is yours.
The blooms of the realm
Double-sided landscape cards: flowers on one side where you send bees, structures to build on the other. The board constantly changes.
The hive structures
Spend resources to build: points, immediate bonuses, and permanent resources that power your engine turn after turn.
The queen's palace
The most ambitious and expensive construction. Requires permanent resources, not just collected ones. Raising it is the move that crowns the game.
Twenty minutes later, someone will have raised the most glorious palace in the realm — and everyone else will already be reshuffling the flowers for a rematch. It always happens with Propolis.

Beehive Architecture
THE ART OF THE ROYAL HONEYCOMB
Every bee has its place in the castle
In the heart of the hive, there's no room for indecision. Placing your workers requires impeccable vision, as each sector of the board offers different benefits and requires specific requirements to control.
The risk is real: investing too many bees in a contested area could leave you exposed elsewhere, while ignoring a seemingly poor area could give your opponents easy points. It's a delicate balance between aggressive expansion and defensive consolidation.
The final satisfaction, when you look at the completed map and count your domains, repays all the mental effort put into the game.
