FroGames — Moments You'll Remember
Two new characters change the dynamics of the flock. Someone will create new strategies, someone will curse their choices. And in the end, everyone will want to try them again.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT
Reinforcements from the Coop: two unexpected characters
Born as a $19 add-on during the Birds of a Feather Eggspansion Kickstarter to offset customs duties, this Promo Pack brings two completely new characters to the table. Matt Mundy designed them as a reinforcement for those who wanted to support the project, Andrew Bosley illustrated them with the care that made the entire Flock Together universe iconic.
Laura Wingalls, a Greater-Prairie Hen from the prairies, and Doc Hollilay, a Wyandotte Rooster with a past to tell, add two new strategies to the base game. They are not just aesthetic variations: each has unique abilities that modify the flow of the game and open up new combos with the other characters in the coop.
What they say abroad
Two characters that expand tactical possibilities without overcomplicating setup.

Flock Together: #SaveTheChickens Promo Pack
Flock Together supports solo play in the base rules. The two new characters also work solo, but the pack does not include dedicated solo mechanics: you will use the same modes as the base game, with more character choices.
The new arrivals
Two characters, two stories, endless combos
Laura Wingalls
Greater-Prairie Hen from the prairies. Her abilities reward long-term planning and economic engine building. Perfect for those who love to optimize every move.
Doc Hollilay
Wyandotte Rooster with a tumultuous past. More aggressive abilities that punish opponents and turn desperate situations around. For those who gamble and are not afraid of risk.
Illustrations by Andrew Bosley
The same iconic style as the base game: vibrant colors, meticulous details, characters that tell stories even before you read their abilities. Cards that make you want to play them.
Immediate integration
No additional rules, no complicated setup. Shuffle the cards into the roster, choose your character, and start playing. They work with all modes and all existing expansions.
Two characters you didn't know you wanted until you played them. Then you wonder how you ever managed without them.
A game in five moments
What changes at the table with the new characters
Not the rules. The experience.
Character selection
Everyone looks at the two new cards on the table. Someone reads the abilities aloud, someone else is already imagining combos. Laura or Doc? The question is not as simple as it seems.
The first tactical round
Whoever chose Laura silently builds their engine. Doc's player starts putting pressure on others. The chicken coop has different dynamics than usual, and everyone feels it.
The unexpected combo
Mid-game, someone figures out how to make the new character's ability work with a card they've always ignored. The table pauses for a moment: we'd never seen that move before.
The chain reaction
Laura or Doc's unique abilities force other players to change their plans. Those with a consolidated strategy must adapt. Those who were losing find an opening. The game rebalances in real time.
End of game and requests for a rematch
Someone won, but everyone is already thinking about which character to try next time. Two cards have doubled the possibilities of the base game. And it works.
How they integrate
Add characters without changing a rule
The new characters follow the base game flow, only adding their unique abilities.
Laura Wingalls and Doc Hollilay enter the pool of available characters. Choose as usual: draft, random, or direct pick according to your preferred rules.
Each character has specific abilities printed on the card. No rulebook reference needed: everything you need to know is written there. A quick read and you're ready.
The turn flow remains identical to the base game. Collect resources, play cards, activate abilities. The new characters integrate into existing mechanics without adding phases or exceptions.
Discover how Laura or Doc's abilities interact with cards you already know. Some combos become stronger, others are unlocked for the first time. Your group's meta evolves.
Why this pack is different from other promos
Six reasons why it's not just a collector's add-on
Balanced characters, not just fan service
Laura and Doc are not simply alternative cards with different artwork. Their abilities are designed to broaden the game's meta, not to dominate it. Matt Mundy tested them as if they were part of the base game.
Full compatibility with all expansions
They work with Birds of a Feather, with any future expansions, with all modes and modules. They are not tied to a specific version: if you have Flock Together, these work.
Andrew Bosley at his best
The illustrations are not repurposed concept art or quick sketches. They are final full-color artwork, with the same level of detail and personality as the base game cards. Characters that tell stories.
Zero added complexity
They don't introduce new phases, don't require extra components, don't have special rules to remember. Abilities written on the card, instant integration. If you know how to play Flock Together, you know how to use them.
Novel tactical combos
Laura rewards engine building, Doc favors aggressive play. Two different philosophies that open strategic paths that didn't exist in the base roster. Your group will discover new synergies.
Kickstarter origin, retail availability
Born as a stretch goal to support the project during crowdfunding, this pack is also available outside of Kickstarter. You don't have to have participated in the campaign to add it to your collection.
What changes with the new characters
How Laura and Doc influence victory and defeat
The base game's victory conditions don't change. The ways to achieve them do.
New paths to victory
- Laura Wingalls excels at building long-term economic engines, rewarding patient planners
- Doc Hollilay offers aggressive abilities that turn around desperate situations and punish those who overexpose themselves
- Both characters unlock synergies with existing cards that were previously underestimated or marginal
Costly mistakes
- Choosing Laura and playing too aggressively: her abilities reward gradual building, not quick attacks
- Choosing Doc and procrastinating: those with aggressive abilities must use them, otherwise they lose tactical advantage
- Ignoring new combos: promo characters open up new paths, those who play with old strategies fall behind
Two characters that don't overturn Flock Together, they complete it. Add variety without losing the balance that made the base game great.

FAQ on Flock Together: #SaveTheChickens Promo Pack
Do I need the base game to use this promo pack?
Yes, Flock Together: #SaveTheChickens is an expansion that adds two playable characters. It does not contain the base rules or components needed to play alone. You must own the base game of Flock Together.
