🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. Guide souls to the light
Each player takes on the role of a spirit guide who helps souls ascend from the nine levels of Mictlán , the world of the dead, to the land of the living. The first to complete the climb wins.
2. Roll the drawers with the soul dice
Souls are represented by dice kept in small coffins : you choose them, shake them and roll them, hoping for the best results to make them advance in level.
3. Use the sacred elements of the ritual
Candles, Incense, Cempasúchil Flowers, and Bread of the Dead give you special powers or roll modifiers, helping you manipulate the fate of your dice.
4. Use strategy and luck
Each turn combines tactical choices and lucky breaks : understanding when to take risks or when to conserve resources is the key to overcoming the other spirits.
5. Celebrate the return of the living
When a player manages to bring all their souls to the surface, the journey is complete. Among smiling skulls and golden marigolds, the first player to bring their souls back to the world of the living wins . 💀🌼

In the silence of the night, lanterns light one after another. The air smells of incense and orange blossoms. From the land of the dead, souls begin their journey: nine levels to return to the world of the living, nine tests of luck and faith.
You are their guide, the bridge between two worlds, the one who casts the dice of destiny. Every roll is a prayer, every victory a renewed smile.
A dice game that is not about fear, but about memory and hope — a small, colorful and poetic ritual inspired by the tradition of Día de Muertos .
A journey through myth, color and fortune
Die of the Dead is a dice board game for 2–5 players , set in the magical Mexican folklore of Día de Muertos .
Each player becomes a spirit guide , intent on bringing souls back to the world of the living through nine symbolic levels.
To do this you will have to choose and throw the coffins containing the soul dice , using candles, incense and cempasúchil flowers to gain advantages, trades or lucky breaks.
With 30–50 minute games, vibrant illustrations, and thoughtful components, it’s perfect as a thematic, family-friendly board game , ideal for evenings with friends or moments when you want to feel a bit of magic and spirituality without taking yourself too seriously.
