WHAT IS IT
A race against time to save four animals from the flood
Flow is inspired by the animated film of the same name by Gints Zilbalodis, transformed into a cooperative game by the Latvian team at Brain Games (Dmitrijus Babičius, Tadas Kastanauskas, Marijus Lapinskas, Justina Lapinskienė). The artwork by Reinis Pētersons brings the atmosphere of the film to the table: animals fleeing, an advancing wave, a boat in the center.
At the table, you work together to build a path of tiles that connects four animal spaces to the central boat, before the tiles run out or the flood wipes away too many routes. The timer sets the pace: every time it expires, you roll two dice that indicate where the wave hits and clears what you have built. Place tiles, coordinate positions, and race against the clock.

The game plays from 1 to 6 players with the same rules: in solo, you manage everything yourself, and the timer and dice remain identical. However, the experience loses the entire component of frenetic coordination with others: it becomes a puzzle against time, but it lacks the communicative chaos that makes Flow memorable at the table.

The ingredients of the race
Path tiles
Each tile has paths that must connect. You draw them, place them, and build the road toward the boat. If they run out before you have saved the four animals, you lose.
Timer
It sets the pace of the game. When it expires, you roll the flood dice and then start again. The pressure rises each time the sand runs out.
Flood dice
Two dice indicate the grid coordinates where the wave hits. The tile in that position is removed: if it was part of your path, you must rebuild.
Animal spaces
Four fixed positions on the grid. You must connect all of them to the central boat with a continuous path of tiles. Once the last animal is connected, you win.
